#godot took a small break from my multiplayer game and made this. play as a maid and clean out the deep dark depths of an underground mansion perhaps? idkkk

multiplayer co-op is my both my favorite and least favorite thing to develop. on one hand, it's awesome, on another, it's unbelievably tedious, especially if you're using steam networking vs just plain godot enet. oof.

#godot ugh i hate starting game jams knowing i probably wont finish them but i really like the work i've already done for it except it won't be seen in a game cause i probably wont finish it AHHHHHH

i love finding nearly 10 year old tutorials that accomplish a very specific thing that modern tutorials don't cover or bring up very often by a guy with a bad mic and low quality recording

last time i said i'd post more i posted like zero times, but i swear this time i will you gotta believe me i will definitelyt post more i swaear pls beliefeve me i will dcefointelyad [spt me iwwillf

game netcode is pain!!!111!!!!1!!! but fun meanwhile i figured out an extremely basic follow camera for 3d platformers that doesnt require a pivot camera (ignore the missing face, bad shaders sonic model) #godot

literally all i do is clamp the position to a maximum distance and then lerp the camera to a desired distance while rotating the camera to look at the player and somehow it just.. works. will get back to yall if there are big issues with this method...

started modeling and prototyping the second iteration of my first level, very wip. also added the homing attack but its a bit more dynamic in ways that im not showing yet :3 #godot #gamedev

FINALLY conquered my camera system issues, and all it took was giving up and installing the (really cool) phantom cam addon xd although most of my code is the same so far, the camera switching priority system is going to save me a lotta stress :D

never really touched lightmap baking in godot before so this was a fun little side adventure :3 also obligatory unleashed sonic cuz unleashed is beautiful
