I've finally re-posted Chapter 2 of Mirrored Horizon! In the last few weeks, I've been dipping my toes back into the works that inspired me years ago. It's been helping reignite my passion for my world and its characters. Chapter 3 will likely be very soon. www.wattpad.com/1570502832-m...

I like every week we’re experiencing a mass psychosis event. AI bros taking up smoking because they think AI will cure cancer. A “flying” car that will backflip over accidents and bridge collapses that is really just a rolling hydrogen bomb. I’m tired of people not applying critical thinking.

The Final Fantasy VII Revelation Collector's Edition is $350, has three statues, a steelbook, soundtrack, and includes the deluxe copy of the game. $400 for this is ridiculous.

There's a lot of roles Tim Curry made memorable, but the one for me I loved the most was him voicing Gabriel Knight, a game I loved back in the day on PC. What a legend. RIP.

It's wild that Square Enix made one shmup and just checked out of the whole genre. This game is legendary, why it hasn't had half a dozen sequels or not seen any official re-release I don't understand.

Happy 40th to Metroid! I played the original way back in the day with my Dad. He worked at Thrifty Drug Store and bought me a copy. Later, he bought a giant graph foam board and started drawing out the map as I played. Many fond memories of this series.

I feel like the terrible hot takes of certain men online (and they have been mostly men) with The Odyssey and Obsession have been eye opening at figuring out what kind of person they are deep down.

The Odyssey, Backrooms, and Obsession have proven audiences have matured and really are not connecting with corporate slop. I worry about how this film will perform in 2026. That being said, this feels like McDonald's bringing back the McRib. Once in a while, slop is fun.

This is a real photo I took of Te Fiti at Disneyland. I want people to please note how colorful in real life she looks compared to the live-action remake. Why are these live action remake films so scared of color?

First look at Te Fiti in the live-action ‘MOANA’ remake.

From the studio that wants to reboot Madame Web and Morbius, and sold the multi-billion dollar making K-Pop Demon Hunters complete rights to Netflix for mere $20 Million dollars... Comes another brilliant company move.

Sony to continue pursuing live service games despite challenges: "[...]live service games are content that attracts users on a global level, so we want to continue to revitalize the market through both 1st party & 3rd party content" said SIE president Hideaki Nishino ➡️ wccftech.com/playstation-...

We lost a legend in the gaming world. It’s wild to think the music he made has lived on for decades now.

That Tom Hall@thattomhall.bsky.social

RIP Bobby Prince. His music legacy will live on, making inspired music for Commander Keen, Wolfenstein 3D, DOOM, countless others. A true legend. And such a nice man, great musician, wonderful, fun-loving man, nothing but happy memories of him. A loss to the world.

Sometimes I think about the most epic "backing your car out of a driveway" scene of all cinema. Stealing a spaceship in this scene shouldn't go this hard, but it does. The music and visuals are just awesome here.

There are a few items of nerd culture that bother me or I don’t understand the appeal. Busts. Go back to where you bought it and tell them bring you the rest of the figure. You only got part of something.

This is legit one of my favorite movies of all time, and not just because I enjoy Star Trek. There are so many themes in this film about aging and the path we take in our lives. I find in my older years I understand the characters more and their paths than I did in my youth. "I feel... young."

OTD, the U.S. premiere of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, which brought back Ricardo Montalbán's Khan Noonien Singh, giving us a follow-up to "Space Seed." When did you see it for the first time?

Ah, yes. A reboot of an already failed movie based on a cartoon from the 80s is sure to bring in that young demographic that is currently flooding the theaters for Backrooms and Obsession. Who is even asking for this?

The ‘INSPECTOR GADGET’ film is reportedly moving forward at Disney. • Will Ferrell is in talks to star as Inspector Gadget. • Sean Anders (‘Daddy’s Home’, ‘Spirited’) is set to direct. (via Daniel RPK | www.patreon.com/posts/159756...)

It's weird to discover old gaming news you simply just missed that is decades old. Like did you know Parasite Eve 3rd Birthday is not a sequel to Parasite Eve 1 & 2? Square lost the rights to the novel the first two games were based on and made a new entry about time traveling and possessing NPCs!

Ever think about how social media attempts to prolong engagement with negativity, but AI tries to prolong engagement with positivity to the point of sycophancy? Kind of highlights how much tech companies don’t want us talking to each other and only want us to listen to them.

Until the end of time, I will always mock the people who said "But our eggs!" as the sole or main reason they voted the way they did. Because egg prices, during a terrible bird flu which killed several farm chickens, were more important to people than safety, health, freedom, children and life.

Handguns could be mailed through the United States Postal Service for the first time in nearly 100 years if a proposed rule under the Trump administration takes effect. https://www.wbay.com/2026/05/07/usps-considers-allowing-people-ship-handguns-through-mail/

Hello, yes. #LEGOBatman. I need to know who got "Kiss From A Rose" in this trailer (and maybe even the game?) so I can ask that person get a raise.

It would have been easy for Capcom to make Pragmata another Dead Space / System Shock style horror game, but they didn't. And I absolutely commend them for that. Sure, there is a world-ending threat, but it's handled with hope and optimism. Something that feels rare in 2026. Please play Pragmata.

The worst part of being in your 40s no one talks about is there are days when you go, "Is that gas, or a heart attack?" Sure, it's always 99.9% of the time gas, but it is the fact you just seriously stop and ask yourself for a moment.

Anyone looking to get a Switch 2 in 2026 should do so now. It's only a matter of time.

Rowling issues aside, why is the new show lit like The Batman? I thought this was supposed to be colorful and magical? But this show looks like it got the “dark-gritty” reboot treatment. Is this show going to end like Adolescence or something?

I ain’t trying to be mean, but The Lord of the Rings trilogy ended perfectly. I’m not sure this is needed.

Switch 2 to me is an impressive piece of hardware. I don't think people really understand how amazing it is that Resident Evil Requiem is 360p in handheld mode upscaled to 1080p using DLSS. So to demonstrate, I took a screenshot and downgraded it to 360p. Look at those Doom-like sized pixels!
