Dramatization. Do not attempt.

After several attempts, I’m learning piano, and this time, it’s working for me. Why? I’m learning to play and understand theory in the key of C first, internalizing basic progressions, starting with I-IV-V, and it’s really working. Transcribing songs in this progression to C and actually jamming.

After a weekish of playing I- IV-V tunes in C, I’ll play through songs with the vi chord added to the progression (in C). This is amazing how well this is working for me. The key for me is learning all of this in the key of C well. I’ll work to understand A natural minor & progressions there soon.

NASA is more than rockets and moonwalks. NASA is behind much of our everyday technology. From space discovery, to Air Jordans, to CAT scans, NASA has played a role. We get it all on less than a penny of every federal dollar. Now their science may be gutted by 50%. #NASADidThat

Can someone in immigration law explain to me how this is legal?

The Editorial Board@editorialboard.bsky.social

When ICE agents look like this, it is ENTIRELY APPROPRIATE for state and local law enforcement to step in and demand they identify themselves and show judicial warrants before detaining anyone from an immigration court. Democratic mayor and governors can take action on this.

Genetic material shed by tumors can be detected in the bloodstream three years before cancer diagnosis, according to a study led by investigators at Johns Hopkins University. That study was made possible with federal funding. Now, many studies like this are canceled. hub.jhu.edu/2025/06/04/...

Yeah, it's just obvious that someone who reads the NYT daily will encounter a lot more information that makes them skeptical of Trump than someone who doesn't. Again, that doesn't mean that the Times can't do better than it is. But the idea that it played a major role in reelecting Trump is silly.

I’ll just reiterate that voters who read newspapers and watch the network news, the forms of media most readily attacked here for ‘sane washing’ (or whatever), were far more likely to not vote for Trump — www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcn...

Every single senator who voted to confirm Hegseth is equally responsible and owns this. Your confirmation served as a stamp of approval and your judgment shouldn't be trusted. This goes for every failure of any official confirmed by the Senate.

Verdita is a winner. Looking forward to experimenting with ingredient ratios. I like it very full-flavored with the herbs and capsicum pepper.🌶️ Time spent macerating in the fridge and the sparkling water or tonic are important elements as well. Can’t wait to try it with pineapple I’ve juiced myself.

Adolf Hitler's “Mein Kampf” is still on U.S. Naval Academy shelves. “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” and “Memorializing the Holocaust” are not. An order by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s office led to a purge of books that are critical of racism — but preserved volumes defending white power.

In 1930, 6 months after the Smoot-Hawley tariffs were enacted by President Hoover, world trade decreased by SIXTY PERCENT (60%). Because of policies like the Smoot-Hawley tariffs contributing to the Great Depression in the 1930's, Hoover is considered one of our WORST president's. Sound familiar?
