We've got to improve our political culture for the sake of serving our residents

1. Poor political practice. Conservatives: do the right thing & correct your post which wrongly says of me (& perhaps the other councillors) that I didn't declare my interests. I did. I submitted my declaration on time but it wasn't posted: a Council admin error I complained about in the summer.

Still no retraction

Our reputations are all hard-won and we have to take care to fact-check all our claims. I urge my fellow councillors to act fairly and avoid undermining each other so we can focus fully on our service to residents

Still no retraction despite the leader of the party being informed it was an administrative error

Always good to see an elected official posting something like this!

Led my SHP workshop today: Horsforth walking tour to show the principles promoted by Prof Corinne Fowler + how colonial links are everywhere, using her countryside walks as inspiration for getting history off screens and outside the classroom. Really enjoyed presenting + delivering this ☀️ #SHP26

This piece expresses my underlying fears about this tragedy - AND suggests ways that HE should react to the (organised?) onslaught against it.

As part of its investigations into the death of an employee who was driven to his death by journalists, I'd suggest Cambridge University scrutinises *all* its professors' CVs and online biography claims

3. We can all have debates about what the Arday case means. But right now all I see is a dead human being, the people who set out to destroy him and the journalists who attacked him like a pack of wolves, the Guardian among them

2. In his last voice message to me, Jason suggested he could not survive the media abuse. I'll be offering his messages as evidence that journalists drove him to his death If a White academic is accused of exaggerating their CV, it's not a public interest story. If you're Black then God help you.

#JasonArday phoned me a few days ago to talk to someone who knows what media abuse feels like. His untimely death shows why we need part 2 of the Leveson enquiry into media conduct

They absolutely destroyed him. I don't know if those journalists have any idea what it's like to be on the receiving end of what they write. I know the press complaints system in the UK is a teaspoon to a tidal wave but it's all we've got. Please please take action here newscord.org/action/jason...

newscord.orgThe Mail printed a psychiatrist's guess at Jason Arday's mind. Hours later he was found dead.A diagnosis-shaped headline at 1:01am on the day he died.
