Random thought: do "jackson-core" (streaming API, impl for json), "jackson-databind" (json<->POJOs) fit in Opus 5 context window (1M)? Was guessing that they do since Claude works well on both. Asked Claude to check: turns out... yes and no -- core, yes (non-test -> 60-65% of window), ...

databind, not quite (1.5x window). Not sure what this means in practice but thought it's interesting data point. So now I know. Oh: and as LoC: * core -> 60k, 31k actual code, rest comment/empty lines * databind -> 140k, 75k actual code fwtw.

Not sure if its just the algorithm but definitely seeing unexpected positive vibe about Seattle on Tweety - love the metro area of course but kinda nice to see outsiders praise it too

ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED -- spoke to an actual IRS tax person -- after 90 + 30 minutes on-hold. And maybe 40+ attempts over past couple of weeks. ... still had to pay, but at least verified payments on May 2025 hadn't disappeared due to mis-classification as it first appeared. What a journey.

Claude denied code generation for the first time today (to create sec vuln test case). But was able to successfully argue my case; my being a "security researcher" helping fix vulns, and got the test case written. Lols. Waiting for the "Invention of Lying" moment in near future.

As Trump's dementia worsens and he becomes more erratic with his little tantrums, we're going to be treated to the sight of congressional Republicans debasing themselves more and more on television, trying to pretend that his latest grudge is very serious and very important.

Today, Armenian communities around the world commemorate 111 years since the systematic murder and displacement of 1.5 million Armenian women, men, and children by the Ottoman Empire from 1915 to 1923.

Honestly, I'm surprised Hegseth still calls it the "Department of the Navy" and not the "Department of Aquamen" or something else a fifth grader would think sounded cool
