I create creatures both real and fictional. I’m a big fan of Monster hunter, the Jurassic films, and Godzilla. I also really enjoy fishing and being in nature. he/him

Man, I’ve been eating so good when it comes to horror lately.
Today I watched Obession it was amazing.
Last week I watched Walten Files 5 and it was absolutely beautifully haunting.
I’ve also been playing Resident Evil (1996) which was been super fun!
I’m excited to officially announce my first ever book! Anthologia Creaturum: Tales of Monsters Unknown. It is a seven story horror anthology with a focus on creatures. Expect a nice variety of them too, from ancient reptiles to the supernatural and more!

Three years ago, my dad said that all fish are the same shape.
Out of spite, I decided to draw all 478 families of bony fish listed in Nelson 2016. There's still some stuff I need to edit and some fish I want to redraw but, after 985 days, I finished my big dumb fish project last night.
Last night, I had this somewhat vivid dream about a new fossil discovery.
It was a prehistoric crocodile. I remember trying to tell people about its name, but butchering it. I kept trying to say "Edmontosuchus" which means "Crocodile from Edmonton"
so basically, The giant Canadian crocodile

I recently decided to upload some of the fish scale photos I've been taking to my Redbubble. I thought they would look great on phone cases, mousepads, pillows, and more.
Go check them out at the link if you're interested

Being nostalgic for scholastic and eye witness and edutainment recently has given me a lot of concern.
Maybe it's just because I'm an adult, but has that focus seemingly disappeared...? It feels like when I was a kid, edutainment felt massive in early internet...
After going through the Wile E. Coyote-like experience of hunting Coelophysis I felt the need to transform my emotions into a form a of visual expression. These were the results
Sidenote: I probably have hunted (tranqed) Coelophysis before but its been so long that I don't even remember. Though this is my first Coelo for the trophy room!
I was trophy hunting for Coelophysis in Carnivores Triassic when out of nowhere this Megalosaurus tried to jump me. Thankfully I was quick enough to take it out in time. Definitely didn’t expect to hunt this guy this early in the game
Drexel University is choosing to shut down the country’s oldest natural history museum, The Academy of Natural Sciences, for “funding” reasons (even though it costs .6% of their annual budget and they spent WAY more on ai nobody wants this year!) Go to save-the-academy.org to help.
At the beginning of the month Drexel University made public that they want to close the Academy of Natural Sciences at the end of the month.
The academy is the oldest natural history museum in the Americas and this would end more than 200 years of research and outreach.

Cuckoo wasps are like tiny living jewels. As nest parasites of other wasps, they are high in the food chain and sensitive to environmental change. A study from a few years ago showed they have declined sharply in Finland.
It's always a great sign when an interview with a scientist starts like this:
Me: Hi there, thanks for talking to me. I'd like to ask you some questions about [thing].
Scientist: OH MY GOODNESS I LOVE [thing]!!! I could talk about [thing] for hours!!!!!
