Hey, critters. The media's interested in furries again. As someone who's been in the fandom for well over two decades and has worked as a journalist, here's a quick guide to Dealing With The Press: If a journalist approaches you, SHUT THE FUCK UP SHUT THE FUCK UP SHUT THE FUCK UP SHUT THE FUC

A cartoonist named Daniel "Des" Rolando Sanchez Estrada was tried as a terrorist and sentenced to 30 years in prison for having anti-Trump comics in his car. Prosecutors connected him to a 2025 anti-ICE protest he didn't even attend because he was in the same book club as others who were.

Lot of people saying "well (x piece of media) didn't say (y) EXPLICITLY" this week and I need them to remember that sometimes, the impetus is on you as an audience member to, y'know, read the text.

This bill is legitimately the thing we've been waiting for. Forcing AI to reveal it's sources would cripple it, because it literally can't comply with the law, because all of it is stolen- they didn't record it Please sign to hasten the bubble popping

Black Forest Labs (like Stability AI) likely took a bunch of work off the internet in order to train their AI. A bill in California would force transparency in their dataset. Want to help it pass? Please sign this petition in support, it'll take you 2 minutes: tinyurl.com/4uxbp963 1/

When Minneapolis felt under heavy siege, people from everywhere helped and reached out and it was really heartening and made a difference. Memphis deserves that too, all the more so because there appears to be a concerted effort to keep their occupation out of the news

Games like darts, billiards, bowling and chess completely give away what's going on. The ONLY reason to segregate these sports by sex in the first place is because men cannot emotionally handle losing to women. The ONLY reason to lock out trans people is bigotry.

Holly Baleen@hollybaleen.bsky.social

Looks like they’ve banned trans women from playing darts now of all things. Comes to something too when BBC Sport are quoting Sex Matters, and the DRA has commissioned noted transphobe Emma Hilton to helm a report for them. It’s a stitch-up, and it’s disgusting.

They could literally just go to the fucking building. They could demand a rally. They could be loudly calling for his impeachment on every damn television channel. They could be doing ANYTHING other than going "welp, on vacation, guess I'll just tweet about it" and pretending otherwise is a joke.

Gentle reminder that the Democrats can't call Congress back into session or push any legislation right now. They are in the minority.

Trans day of every tabloid shuts the fuck up about us forever. Trans day of let us have our healthcare and leave us the fuck alone. Trans day of tearing down the panopticon. Trans day of let us control the narrative instead of deferring to some cis sexologist's hallucination.

ALA is disappointed that the House Committee on Education & Workforce moved forward dangerous federal book banning legislation yesterday. HR 7661 contains vague, confusing, and overly broad language, inviting government censorship. More from ALA: www.ala.org/news/2026/03... (1/2)

ala.org'Dangerous' bill inviting government censorship passes House committeeThe American Library Association condemns the March 17, 2026, passage of H.R. 7661 by the House Committee on Education and Workforce.

I know you get a lot of "call your representatives" requests, but this is a big one. Not only does this violate the understanding in the U.S. that library decisions rest at the local level, but it specifically targets books by, about, and for trans people. That's discrimination, plain and simple.

Hey, alongside contacting your representatives, this seems like another thing worth putting a bit of your time into and sharing around. If we could get "reputational risk" taken off the table, even in this current climate, that could create a chilling effect on these kinds of policies
