powRSS Who? is a game to test how well you know the #blogs you read. Match the blog post to the right author from the excerpt! Another way to read and discover more from our #indieweb neighbors 😁 powrss.com/who

Last year I bought a Casio F-91W for $15. I even wrote about it in my blog because it's such a cheap and resilient little watch. Today that watch costs $30. 🤯

I used to have a capsule on the Gemini Protocol back in 2021. Of the 12 bookmarks I had on my capsule, 9 no longer work.

I couldn't help myself. I've made some more funky web buttons to adorn websites with! They're such fun to put together, and the size constraint presents a lovely challenge. If anyone has any requests, I'd be open to hearing them. #88x31 #IndieWeb #SmallWeb

I've been putting together a collection of web badges/buttons after being nerd sniped by @strange.website. I plan to make a great deal more, but these are what I've got so far. vale.rocks/portfolio/88... #88x31 #WebBadges #IndieWeb #SmallWeb

I've been watching lots of Downton Abbey... Lord Grantham's morning paper reading made me think of how nicely laid out newspapers are. I'm playing around with multi-column layouts and date filters on a personal #RSS aggregator. I'm liking the UX so far!

It's a myth that good ideas beat out bad ones in a capitalist market. In reality the sunk-cost fallacy means tons of bad ideas survive due to the pouring of more money into originally bad investments. That's how we get AI everywhere.

Naming blogs is a lost art form. You talk about what you're reading at The Blorbo Review? Sign me up. You review corn at Corn Corner? Hell yeah. Star Wars analysis at The High Ground? You know it.

This past weekend I saw a disheartening amount of shops using the "no more pennies" excuse to completely reject cash payments...

Since I quit most social media, I've been wanting to create a website from scratch, but I never got to finish it. I recently stumbled upon the #smallweb or #indieweb movement, and it felt like finding my people! The web feels exciting again!

need to kill the recurring thought of "no I can't replay/reread that, I have other stuff to check out" no. I am a poor little peasant living just after the advent of the printing press. I have five books at most and I will reread them so much they will know the death of the author was caused by me

If you sent me one chapter a day of a book to my RSS reader, I'm sure I'd read it all. I'll be putting this to the test with Lettrss, a project I built to syndicate public domain books via RSS. Since Wicked is coming out soon, I'm starting with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. lettrss.com #RSS

@cassidoo.co writes: "I’ve been thinking a lot about the internet lately, like as a concept. I don’t know where everyone went... When the algorithms are determining everything we should be seeing, it’s a much less personal internet" In response I made powrss.com to rediscover the personal web.

"I find myself wondering if social media —precisely the thing we need to collectively push to meaningfully change— isn't purpose-built to prevent us from banding together collectively for meaningful change." from "view from the present" blog on collective action: viewfromthepresent.com/2025-10-29

It is now easier than ever to discover new #blogs across the #indieweb with the #powRSS Blogs section. 36 new blogs were added in the past week. Welcome :-)
