Tomorrow's fight

Rick Marriner@rickmarriner.com

Mourning a nation in real time is a uniquely 21st-century heartbreak. But history swings wide—today’s despair is tomorrow’s fight. The question isn’t just what’s lost, but what’s still worth building. #HopeInAction #HistoryIsNotStatic #KeepPushing

On the eve of almost losing our entire government An ugly memory of a devastating time

Four years ago right now. This was our evacuation team that got us out of the Capitol. When they knocked on our hiding place door, they had a code word & we had a response word so we knew they were actual USCP. You can see them holding back rioters. The “Join Us!” chant to cops was stomach turning.

It's really not about leaving the other platforms. It's about bringing people here and giving them more engagement than the other apps. That's what people want. Engagement. Takes nothing to offer it If there is a user on another app that you like, DM them and invite them here. Post and tag me

The video evidence is what I always come back to when I think of Jan. 6. We @propublica.org created this interactive piece of videos that Parler users recorded and uploaded from their own POV that day, and it remains as disturbing today as it was then. projects.propublica.org/parler-capit...

While we’re banning books… Finland is teaching children in school how to recognize fake news and propaganda as part of critical thinking and civic responsibility. Some of this will seem very familiar. Be. Like. Finland.

Well, isn’t that convenient? Musk gets named to the fake department of DOGE, and suddenly NASA’s future is up for debate—just as SpaceX is poised to cash in. Funny how “efficiency” seems to mean redirecting public funds straight into private pockets.

You are up to date.
