I dread misspeaking & inadvertently offending most people. It's intensely embarrassing & painful to face my blunders, so it would be great if people would kindly ask for clarification before going straight to full-throttled condemnation for something I've said. If I'm truly wrong, I'll admit it.

Urgent update: The United States just dropped to its lowest ranking ever in the press freedom index—64th out of 180 countries. This weekend we are celebrating World Press Freedom day and the alarm bells are ringing. Journalists are being silenced. Press is under attack. It is a five alarm fire.

I'm tired of seeing this obvious BS, so I did an image search. Google's #AI Overview states: "This image appears to be a heavily AI-processed or artistic representation based on NASA data from the Juno spacecraft rather than a raw, direct photograph."

Those of us in the pro-democracy movement can and should hold both of these positions. 1. We unequivocally reject violence. 2. We will unequivocally oppose efforts by this administration to use last night as an excuse to try to suppress criticism and criminalize dissent.

open.substack.comMajor Update: White House Did Not Impose Highest Security Level for Dinner, Trump Lashes Out at Press, Democrats Score Win in VirginiaGood evening.

Fuck Trump and every one of the propaganda correspondents attending his "Assassination Attempt" dinner theater. Trump wouldn't be in the position to pull this transparent wag-the-dog bullshit if not for their decade of tepid, complicit, and outright supportive 'journalism'.

If you were horrified watching elected leaders run & scramble because of gun violence, just imagine how my daughter Jaime felt in school running from an active shooter before she was killed. Now, become a part of the solution & only vote for people determined to address gun violence in America.

Some call it profit. Science calls it theft. A global tax on polluting companies could raise $400 billion year one. That money doesn't disappear. It's just sitting in the wrong bank accounts—while our planet runs a deficit it'll never repay.

A “former Palantir executive recently confirmed what many have long suspected. In a public stmt, the whistleblower said it plainly: Palantir intended to take over the US government, & many of his former colleagues are now installed inside the federal apparatus. He called it an occupied nation.” 1/

Ghislaine Maxwell should not be pardoned. She should be moved back to an appropriate prison to serve the remainder of her term. Survivors have repeatedly said Maxwell not only participated but was often an architect of their abuse.

Killing a person is a crime. Killing a river, a forest, or an entire ecosystem? Still legal in most countries. When destruction is this scale, fines aren't enough. Ecocide must be criminalised at the international level. Make destruction a crime, not a business cost.
