I am also super happy that we could get the amazing @chrispariano.bsky.social for Vampire Tactics on board for the Steam HD art. His original work on Gestalt Steam&Cinder was declined by the publisher back then, bc. it was "too baroque". That shouldn't be a problem for our vampire indie game.

Vampire Tactics will be revealed in a couple of days. We got the steampage ready, the reveal trailer done and I am really excited to show you what @kosowski.bsky.social & started to create in the last ~2 years of spare time. Certainly there is some of my best art in this game & lots of care.

LLM-AI is talked about because companies offer you money for your posts if you are popular enough. The highest offer i received is 50US$ per post. I get them daily and since I started posting again my inbox gets flooded with it. Without any doubt, many people are just cheap shills selling out.

Inspired by the old PS2 save data files, I turned the save files for my game (HEAL PLEASE!) into valid PNG files. So, if someone stumbles upon these files in their file explorer or want to share them, they look like that: #gameDev #healPlease #programming

Do you usually play steam next fest demos? Did you play next fest demos this steam next fest? I personally skipped this time, bc. I could either play the "greats /marketed hits" or just would find slop. How do you think indiegaming is changing right now?

If you don't understand the status which comes from having a house of artists making things only they can and everyone marbles at bc. you show that off to your equals, you just aren't fit for all that money. Literally any ruler & the church always understood that and we still celebrate those works.

Little heads-up for those that don't know; you can now add links to your profile! Really good for listing what you're making!

Some footage from our Pre-Alpha. We are working a lot on our combat to make it more fluent and to utilize more features.

Regarding the Bioware situation I am angry at EA, the Bioware executives who sold Bioware to EA and the management of the company who led them the last 15 years. Who was in charge? Who made those decisions? Is there any info around?

Literally nobody who made the great Bioware stuff works there anymore. So why hold on to a carcass brand name, if the people who created the joy for you already left or worse, were thrown out?

#portfolioday Hey. Despite everything, it's still Alessandro - an italian guy trying to make a living out of #pixelart. I used to work in the movie art department, but that was just a phase, MOM! I also have game asset packs (tilesets & characters mainly) for sale on my Itch and Patreon pages.

I think Kenneys recent post should be highlighted a lot more. I've been thinking about it a lot. It's insane when the people who have all the money and power in the world and could actually do something good with it, then gang up on one little guy who is just comforting others.

Some photos (by Siomotion) from the Drova 2 Reveal party, where the game was shown for the first time. @akjarosz.bsky.social and I met the team, Unvermeydbar played some fitting tunes, we tried some archery and sat next to a cozy campfire. We will show Drova 2 this Saturday in "Pixelart for Gamedev"

Last I'll post about this, but Elon Musk disagrees with me. This means I am onto something, and I feel more valid in my opinion than ever.

On my way back from the Drova 2 reveal party in Magdeburg, I stopped in Dresden to take a look at their Albertina/ new master painters collection. I saw some of my favourites by Caspar Friedrich, Friedrich Lessing, Oehme & Dix, but they also had Monet and Van Gogh live on display. A real experience

The first game for which I was a one-man art team was Tower57 in 2014. I did all the art for the game. The game idea, story, setting and engine came all from Benitosub. It's also my first game, for which I stepped a bit outside art into game & level design

🎉 Under the Island is finally out now physically on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. 🎉 Get yours while they're hot (in some place it's already sold out)! Thank you to all the players who made this possible and everyone else who supported us too!

In 2017 Universal wanted to start their cinematic "Dark Universe" with a Mummy movie. During the production I was chosen as background artist for a companion game, developed in just 8 months crunch. The movie wasn't just bad but considered worst movie of the year which destroyed the games sales.

Castlevania was not existing as a brand then and I was so happy to work on this as it seemed the closest thing... I put everything I had in, just to be destroyed entirely by factors outside of my control. This was not the only time something like this happened across my career.

10 years ago I made those higher pixel resolution interpretations of GBA Fire Emblem sprites. Time is flying to fast... But at least I've been working on a fair amount of tactical games since, like Songs of Conquest and Symphony of War. Also Vampire Tactics will be revealed soon, around Halloween...

It's finally getting colder and autumn just started. This season now reached Occult Office: Lofi Rituals. I have been working with Mr. Mango on an environmental effect, with just a bit of particle art and code work, the leaves are now falling in our desktop companion!

Classic wizard I designed and animated a couple years back for Symphony of war. Designing and animating fantasy human classes is one of the jobs I like the most. Also the style I came up with for that project was great, because the schedule was super tight and it still looked awesome.

A werewolf concept for Vampire Tactics The work on the trailer and steampage is on track. We can't wait to reveal the game and show you some moving pictures, still there is a lot left to do.

I just had a lot of fun programming a pixelart caustics reflection effect shader. This was far more complex than I anticipated, but in the end came out just as I hoped. Maybe I will use it in Vampire Tactics. It's so fresh when you have characters standing next to water and it shows on them.

We're live with #pixelart for #gamedev" Today's schedule: - Show progress on Occult Office - Check the weekly art challenge - Talk about UE5 substrate and photorealism - Talk about naming games - Do some art! - Play the new demo for "Mary with a gun" Join us on twitch: www.twitch.tv/cyangmou
