I believe in science. I want to leave the world a better place. I am worried about my country. I want to learn more and use my voice. Les Misérables by Victor Hugo is my favorite book. "Freedom is what you do with what has been done to you." Sartre

We have to keep speaking up about all of these men being illegally held in foreign concentration camps without due process. How long will Trump's administration ignore a 9-0 Supreme Court order?
The link for article is below, it is a worthwhile read. I remember as a young driver, my dad taught me that if an unmarked car attempts to pull me over to put on my flashers and call 911. He would have never told me to trust law enforcement that isn't uniformed, showing a badge, and wearing a mask.
We have less than a day to stop Elon Musk from being able to increase his SpaceX launches from 50 per year to 120 from Cape Canaveral. Musk's rockets are dumping pollution into the air and water, destroying wildlife habitats, and raining debris onto Florida that's stopped air traffic. Comment now!

“We are all afraid,” Murkowski said, taking a long pause. “It’s quite a statement. But we are in a time and a place where I certainly have not been here before. And I’ll tell ya, I’m oftentimes very anxious myself about using my voice, because retaliation is real. And that’s not right.”

Why is she doing this? We don't want them to stray further to the right?
Good point!
As someone who posts about elections, a response I often get is "Assuming there is another election". I get that concern. But to be clear, this is a future-election-assuming account. I don't give in to that kind of thinking. To do so is to give the GOP what they want: Premature surrender.

Europe is reacting to the US's inaction and capitulation to Russia. I swear many baby boomers (USA) just want to take this world with them when they die, instead of making it better for future generations. I see it in my own parents who turn to religious prophesy to get out of doing the work.

Please watch and rewatch this movie, in the U.S. Archives from the @usarmy.bsky.social #DontBeASucker a reminder of how the Nazis conned their country into becoming the cause of mass murder and all the other horrors that Nazis unleash. The Founding Fathers warned us against this. Franklin Roosevelt put a stop to this. Donald Trump encouraged the second Guided Age during his first term.
Oligarchs buying elections with million dollar giveaways. Hopefully people in Wisconsin won’t allow the South African to purchase a seat on your Supreme Court just like he bought the US federal government.
