Why, yes I did just instantly block a certain famous author who (for reasons inexplicable) just followed me and who (for reasons jurisdictional) managed to get his sexual assault charges dismissed. No room in my life or on my social media for people like that.

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful

let's be clear, let's be very clear, let's be incredibly clear about something: Marcia Lucas is why you love Star Wars. She's why Star Wars worked. She's why it has heart. She's responsible for the in-media-res beginning, she's responsible for basically everything charming and unique about >

Former Washington Post journalists have launched a GoFundMe to help repatriate fired staff members who are effectively stranded in foreign countries. One of the richest men in the world fired them from the paper and didn’t even pay to ensure they got home. Abolish the billionaire class:

Thinking about how bsky has the most horrible setting turned on by default that says "i don't want to see any other languages except English" and if no one tells you to put it on "no selection" you straight up won't see posts from people set to different languages on your TL.

Something americans need to understand is that your country has always been a colonial occupation war monster with an endless hunger for new resources and territories that not only has never shied away from mass death but in facts seems to seek it enthusiastically at every turn.

Every time someone speaks for equality BUT leaves out Natives… Natives see it. We don’t often say anything. But we see it. We get the message that you might not even mean, but because you’re part of US society, you still do.
