Dark Machine

Go on Lula. Make it a good weekend overall. I know it’s going to be hard because a lot of the congress seats went to the right the other day. But if you’re there, it could give us a bit of hope.

Just catching up with the #LFC women match and I’m happy they got the draw at the very end. However, Keating might be the worst signing in terms of a downgrade in quality that we’ve ever made. Another howler today. She keep costing the team goals, and that’s costing points.

I wrote a thing last March about Premier League teams playing away after being away in the Champions League. At that point, they’d collectively won five of the 16 league matches. Make no mistake, today is a massive win for Liverpool.

Everton 2007 Newcastle 2014 Tottenham 2025 Brentford 2026 The last four teams to have two men sent off against Liverpool all lost 2-1 Up the Reds

#LFC Wirtz looking around at our forward line going

That was seriously terrifying. Just watching the quake line approach slowly on the map. Thinking that there is nothing you can do about something that massive. Just watch and think, if this is real, I’m dead. A very weird feeling to have.

So THAT was fun. HUGE MASSIVE FUCK OFF BIGGEST EVER incoming earthquake alarm: surprisingly with over three minutes warning. Far out to sea up north, but that’s still catastrophic tsunami potential. So we all wait, likely to feel at least *some* shaking. Turns out it was a false alarm.

They just sent a new alert canceling the last one But don’t play the same emergency sound for a cancellation!!

We all got an alert in Shibuya a few minutes back warning of an earthquake. Felt nothing, ignored it. Now they’ve RETRACTED the notification, lol I have never seen this my whole time living in Japan

Did the intern push the wrong button again?

You can see where LASK targeted #LFC to great success. They overloaded that side of the pitch and we didn't do enough to counter it especially in the 2nd half. (This is not to dump on Frimpong. It's a collective responsibility and perhaps an area where Rio and Trey should have helped out better.)

Absolutely what this student says. One of the most profoundly sad things about AI boosters is that they seem not to understand that the journey is more important than the destination, the thinking, the understanding, the revelation that comes along the journey is what matters, not the end product.

This is a hell of a good thread on Wirtz from an actual coach. #LFC

Here’s LL Cool J trying to explain Clausewitz’s “remarkable trinity” to an uncomprehending Joe Rogan

my favourite line i've read in a Galactic Racer review

#Tochigi SC, 15th in #J3 and with no hope of promotion, sack manager Yoneyama. Because sacking the manager has worked every other time. The club just has no idea, no clue with how to attract fans or promote themselves. They’re a distant second to the Brex basketball team in their own city.

Actor. I actually wasn’t too bad at acting, but I got rejected by all the major UK acting schools out of high school and gave up thinking I was no good. Giving up halfway is one of the absolute worst things about me as a person. Sticking with something, even if you’re bad at it, really counts.

Reflecting on yesterday… the City stuff is still raw and Liverpool suffered from their cheating more than most. But given the reaction, I suspect that if they get away without being severely punished then that will be it for a lot of fans. Finished. Why invest time and money in a rigged game?

Liverpool used to have a squad made up of players with a point to prove. And they defo proved it. Now we have multiple £100m players who seemingly don't want to be the main men. No desire to make this team their own. No real attempt to be a difference maker in a key moment.

Well said by Melissa Reddy here 👏 #lfc

'They should be favourites for the title. They're a good side, full of good players...excellent bench. 'What happens if they win it? 'After all, this is all a sham...Their players are their players because of their sham.' ✍️ @knoxharrington.bsky.social's review… 👉 Read: mailchi.mp/theanfieldwr...

Brighton doing alright. Only 2 points off Arsenal at the top of the league.

‘So Lance, another Tour de France …’

Anyway, #LFC are four points off Arsenal in first. I’d have taken that before the season began. Still loads to improve but a lot of positives. Squad needs improving in January. Though having a few of the injured recover would really help too!

Hard to devise a better metaphor for the past decade and a half of Premier League football than Man City winning while playing with an extra man.

No idea why Sky are so excited. Until the punishments are handed down the season means nothing. The game is a farce now, the League table a nonsense because there’s no competitive football till this has been resolved. No one will end today with points so why bother? We might as well wait till August

Congratulations to Liverpool for winning today's match next year.

That’s shameless from Maresca. Just stupid.

Man City's last legitimate result was being tonked 8-1 by Boro in May 2008.

Maresca and the City players giving it the big one. Have some fucking humility and shame you gang of shitehouses. You’re all cheaters at an institution of cheats. To think, I was actually feeling a bit of sympathy and wanted to see City protected as an institution. Nah. They can go out of business.

I don't in fact have much sympathy for the Man City players and coaches, most of whom signed knowing the club was under investigation

The Abu Dhabi bung taking PGMOL shill Kavanaugh ruined that game. But it’s all meaningless. By the time we have to go to City they’ll have been relegated to League 2. Cheating bastards. #LFC

You're going down, you're going down your going down 👏👏 Seriously though. This whole game is a farce. It's making an absolute mockery of the Premier League as is the Premier League officiating. #lfc

Have to say the bananas make it all a less sympathetic. “I feel for the fans.” Why? They clearly relish the cheating.

At the very least the top four will be decided by a court case. This season is a waste of time.

Liverpool were missing their top scorer from this season, their current top scorer for the club and their reigning player of the season. For an an hour they were the better side. Munoz continues to impress. Plenty to build on. Up the Reds.
