David Cone is brilliant. He's like a Gen X Phil Rizzuto. Instead of everyone's little buddy, he's everyone's smart athletic friend whose parents are like suburban teachers and has a shockingly good CD collection. Actually..I wonder if that's true. #yankees

STEWART: “Comedy doesn’t change the world, but it’s a bellwether— we’re the banana peel in the coal mine… authoritarians are the threat to comedy, music, art, thought… progress.” Nailed it.

1)After the Charlie Kirk disconnect (his mourners may have actually NEVER seen his more problematic statements due to the algorithm + echo bias),& Trump running amuck over the Constitution & human decency,it's time for a new approach. Pointing out the obvious is not working + will likely never work.

2) There is no magic bullet, there are no magic beans. Convincing people just how bad things are and how bad they will continue to get is now magical thinking. Constantly waving our hands and screaming "but Jan 6," "but (insert racist statement)" "but the Epstein files" IS...NOT...Working.

I am not suggesting true open borders (nor has pretty much anyone despite what poison is being fed to people), nor am I suggesting not deporting truly bad criminals (and you know, maybe keeping some of those out of elected office while we're at it) but this is just pure unempathetic cruelty.

Laughing in front of cages designed to hold migrants and refugees, many of whom came to this country fleeing extreme violence and poverty, and hoping to raise their children in a more compassionate country. And many of whom followed all the legal procedures to enter the country.

The disparity btwn what’s actually happening in Los Angeles and the way it’s being mischaracterized is one of the biggest stress tests of modern media in recent memory. Botted socials, AI, old clips, declining literacy—it’s like seeing a broken emergency response system hit by a storm.

Me after sharing 2025 Lollapalooza line-up with Lennox: "I saw Lollapalooza on my 21st birthday. It was a tour back then. I saw Green Day and The Beastie Boys" Len: "Who are the Beastie Boys?" Me: "You don't know the Beastie Boys?" Len: "Of course not, I'm not old" Ouch.

1) I have worked under the threat of a layoff before; it's a brutal experience whether you get let go or not. The job I had was did not involve anyone else's life, wellbeing or healthcare. I cannot imagine what the people at the VA are feeling right now.

3) Not everything needs to be run as a business. Spending governmental money to make people's lives better, whether at the beginning, middle or end, should be enough. The government financial status should not be the bottom line; the strength of our society's most in need should be.

4) We can and should get rid of wasteful redundancies if they are true redundancies, not just because there's a number on a ledger. When it comes to the government, there are people behind those numbers; let's look at people FIRST before we look at the P&L.

2) My father, who never really had decent healthcare coverage outside of his VA benefits and didn't particularly take great care of himself, received insanely spectacular coverage and kindness at the East Orange, NJ facility, after his 2nd and 3rd strokes prior to his passing.

I am enraged. He who shall not be named just blamed DEI for the plane crash. Not firing the head of FAA at the behest of Musk, or laying off 100 ATC. This is completely insane. He's making Joe McCarthy look like Ronald McDonald. I know, we should be used to this, but this is a new low...

Any journos who follow me or follow people who I follow wanna do a piece on how Tesla's customer service has completely fallen since the election? 2 months to get an appt to fix something AND they just flaked on a mobile appt..
