Three years after my husband died, Iโ€™m still trying to prove our life together was worth losing his family. What I live with isnโ€™t forgetting โ€” itโ€™s the blurring of memory. On the third anniversary, I wrote about grief, memory, and continuing without answers. www.dataandpolitics.net/the-blurring/

Sen. Jon Ossoff leads Republican Rep. Mike Collins 48-40 in the new @ajc.com poll, with 12% undecided. Heโ€™s crushing the Republican among independent and moderate voters, and heโ€™s done a better job of consolidating his base voters than Collins has. #gapol www.ajc.com/politics/202...

which message will resonate with voters: let's talk better mileage, or my opponent deserved her childhood sexual abuse, which she is also lying about.

Canadians returning from living overseas are ineligible for provincial healthcare plans and have to pay 100% out of pocket, including emergency care.

also, and I know this is not the point, but knowing a few canadians IRL: their healthcare system kinda sucks. it's not transferable between provinces without a 3 month waiting period (and for short trips, for quebec), it doesn't cover most drugs, and then there's the "you should kill yourself" thing

good news: doing the homework on this is easier than ever: I put together 20 years of my writing on this, and surveyed a bunch of new references, into a research agenda better news: implementing those ideas has never been easier bad news: breaking through the noise to build usage and community ๐Ÿ‘€

Since he passed, one of the things that has surprised me the most is how often people assume talking about him is painful to me. I love talking about him and sharing about him. But he comes up so rarely these days. I wish people knew itโ€™s okay to talk about the dead.

A few things: I hope it doesnโ€™t happen to you, but at some point youโ€™re going to have to deal with a financial institutions team dedicated to handling progresses related to dead people. They are going to be the most bored, soulless humans on earth. It is going to make you feel so deeply sad.
