@mcuban.bsky.social re: #Trump. "Nothing [you] say is going to convince anyone?" What a copout. His polling is underwater <2yrs after being elected; something's convincing people. We all need to stand against corruption, stupid trade policies, alienating allies/cozying up to dictators, & war!

The Senate gerrymanders the nation. Half the US lives in 10 states; the other half gets 80/100 Senators.

WELKER: Do democratic socialists belong in the Dem Party? JEFFRIES: What I can say is I do not support defunding the police, I do not support open borders, I do not support abolishing the Senate. We're focused on actually solving the problems hard-working American taxpayer want us to solve ...

I spoke to my good friend Mitch McConnel today for just shy of 20 minutes. He said, "Oh, I'm sorry. I can't come to the door right now. I'm afraid that in my weakened condition, I could take a nasty spill down the stairs and subject myself to further absences. Have a nice day!"

I know it’s silly to draw the line here, but is anyone else completely disgusted by Trump’s gloating about destroying a beautiful bridge? I live in the Bay Area; I’d be furious if the same thing happened here.

Scott swallows the caricature of the left propagated by conservatives hook, line, and sinker. While he properly identifies Dem ineffectiveness, he fails to connect it to their dependence on conservative campaign cash. Dem voters get concern; the donors get ineffectiveness. Looks deliberate to me.

The far left is nowhere near power in this country, while the far right is now in total control of [checks notes] all three branches of government. The road to fascism is paved by "raging moderates'" fear of the far left, promoted as the inevitable alternative to the far right--by the far right.

Would it be wrong, hypothetically, for an American citizen to recommend to the rest of the world that they boycott American finance, products, services, and events (e.g., World Cup, Olympics) until Congress does its job and reins in our reckless dipshit of a president? Asking for a friend.

🤔 1. NY Dem’s poor showing in ‘24 cost Ds the house majority 2. D’s general rudderlessness since 3. Major D “leaders” are all from NY 4. They can’t even endorse their own mayoral primary winner. 🤔

The state of California needs to arrest the DHS "security" forces for assault and every Democrat in the U.S. Senate needs to sign onto a campaign to impeach Kristi Noem. Right fucking now.
