Hi! I’m a music technologist, data nerd, lover of business models, game design, and human behavior - ever curious what’s going on under the hood. I'm a 2X #startup founder + former strategy consultant to UMG and Gracenote. Prior to tech, I was an artist manager, best known for signing #Deftones.

This is the right decision. Even better if they still paid catering, security, and event staff. I'm sure many of those folks are suffering too, and were counting on the income.

Arguably, a model makeup for any school board.

In Bay City, Michigan, @runforsomething.bsky.social alum (and 18-year old!) Mason Pressler is about to take his seat on the school board. His age gives him the fresh perspective to ask: Is the way we're doing things working? www.mlive.com/news/saginaw...

The soothing sounds of FAFO cheer is a timely Christmas gift this year.🎅

Seth Abramson@sethabramson.bsky.social

A little NSFW Christmas gift from Hounds. This political novelty song—the second-ever from Hounds, after “Leopards,” which is already on streaming platforms—will arrive for streaming on December 31, but it’s on YouTube now...and you should feel free to make any creative uses of the chorus you wish.

Santa is bringing *stacks*. Christmas music is big business. #christmas #christmasmusic

This kind of behavior must end.

NEW: After reviewing leaked documents, we have found UnitedHealth is strategically limiting access to a treatment for thousands of children with autism across the country in order to cut costs. Advocates say the company’s strategy may be illegal. www.propublica.org/article/unit... 👇

Total coincidence, I'm sure.

Atrium Health says it will forgive the debts of 11,500 people — less than a week after it was reported that the company has aggressively pursued former patients’ medical debts, placing liens on their homes to collect on bills. Health Insurance corporations are cautious after a CEO was assassinated.

Glad nobody was hurt, but am totally in support of citizens rebelling against corporate shenanigans.

Better late than never, the press awakens to its responsibility. More like this, please. Thank you @mollyjongfast.bsky.social Thank you @vanityfair.com

If they do catch him, he'll be the least convictable defendant in history. Is it too early to predict a mistrial? "I'm sorry your honor. The jury is unable to reach a verdict."

The authorities have pleaded for help from the public to find the person who killed Brian Thompson, the UnitedHealthcare executive. But some people seem to be more interested in rooting for the gunman and thwarting the police’s efforts.

Horrific story of medical malpractice. Outstanding reporting by @davidmcswane.bsky.social and @propublica.org

NEW: “Eat What You Kill” Hailed as a savior upon his arrival in Helena, Dr. Thomas C. Weiner became a favorite of patients and his hospital’s highest earner. As the myth surrounding the high-profile oncologist grew, so did the trail of patient harm and suspicious deaths. @davidmcswane.bsky.social

Digital moats to defend the castle? Seems like history has shown, that strategy didn't turn out well. Good people, whose organizations represent equitable practices for their employees and the consumer, don't need fucking drones and facial recognition to defend against their own customers.

What are some accessible Infosec & Opsec resources that activists, journalists, and organizers can turn to in preparation for the Trump admin? Preparing for a fascist regime can feel scary and paralyzing. This seems like an area where people can take control w/ concrete steps. Please share below 👇🏽

If the giant multi-day festival model has peaked, what's next? Do festivals get smaller, and more culturally targeted? Or is there a path for the giants to innovate?
