so, the thesis of @ersc.io is that: 1. this is not horrifying, but actually good 2. everyone is going to hit this in short order

very excited to see this out of A\ this is our thesis at @ersc.io! But we are building a git compatibility layer: ersc.io/blog/what-co... enterprise adoption of new source control is a big ask, so making a smooth bridge from the past to the future is a big part of our offer
New on our Engineering blog: Creating in-house source control. In May, we merged around 2,500 code changes per day. In September, we merged more than 30,000 per day. As a result, we became bottlenecked by developer infrastructure built for human (rather than agent) scale.

wild to see the replies to this post. i just had sol-5.6 write a fuzzer for incremental compilation in rustc almost autonomously. one of my cofounders had claude spend the night profiling/benchmarking our storage system and came back to a stack of changes in the following morning
This is the crux of the debate, right? Whether it's doing mimicry or reasoning. I struggle to see how you could view it as purely mimicry. It has to tie together multiple novel thoughts in a logical construction to create its responses.
nick noble drove this new site. he collaborated with stephen nixon of www.arrowtype.com. we have a bunch of other stuff coming and we can't wait to show it off!

Megamerges are great! If you haven't heard of them, check out isaaccorbrey.com/notes/jujuts...
annoyed by large build directories or cross-worktree artifact sprawl? a #jj-vcs megamerge is a great place to run your builds and tests, because because if the megamerge builds, so do all of your worktrees! plus, your build directories are O(1) with respect to worktrees, not O(worktrees)!

Gonna start actually posting to the @ersc.io blog for real soon What do you want to hear about?
5 days left to submit a talk to jj con! it’s in beautiful Lisbon, Portugal this year, cohosted by @ersc.io, Google, and @gitbutler.com! docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI…
subtweet: rendering code efficiently in a browser is a nightmare and you will likely need some javascript to keep it performant. diffs.com is the best-in-class, open source library that does this.

anyways, if you have precheck or precheck ankle monitor edition (clear) and have no checked luggage, i recommend arriving at the airport 20 minutes prior to boarding. it’s marvelous.
i don’t want to defend josh barrow, but he is right. i missed only one flight in my life two weeks ago, and united rebooked me on a flight 12 hours later at no charge

He was right on this BTW. People get incredibly neurotic about missing flights because they've never missed one. Once it's happened to you (assuming you're not travelling with kids) it's annoying but fine and you start leaving/wasting less time at airports.
oh yeah, @ersc.io is an @antithesis.com customer! we’re horizontally scalable on the unit of a *repo* and we’re extremely serious about not losing your data.
getting to use @antithesis.com right now and it's genuinely one of the most mind-blowing products i've ever seen. truly something special
big props to edd.ca.gov for being competent state bureaucracy! our payroll provider didn't file a form for a prior quarter, so I called EDD and an extremely component staffer helped me resolve the issue almost immediately.
in retrospect, it’s pretty obvious that a former ausa would be adept at fedposting
If leaders abuse the rule of law to make themselves immune to it, so that they can undermine the rights of others with impunity, by what moral or philosophical argument are they entitled to its protections, once they lose power? By what grace should they be sorted by law instead of by other means?
at @ersc.io, in addition to a traditional SaaS offering, we support bring-your-own-cloud deployments, so you can say [insulting jonah from veep voice] we're the cloud botherers
i think “get on board or get left behind” phrasing is ugly, but anthropic’s run rate went from 9 billion in december 2025 to 19 billion in march 2026. claude code has 40% margins. i rarely write code by hand these days, and there’s a ridiculous amount of low hanging fruit remaining in claude.
just this week: -- OpenAI killed Sora -- Disney subsequently cancelled its investment in OpenAI -- Wikipedia is now banning LLM-generated content ...tell me again how this is all "inevitable" and you have to "get on board or get left behind"?
