I still think AI systems should be paying me 150k per copyright violation. People keep asking me 'what laws do we need for AI?' and I keep saying 'enforce the fucking ones we already have!' There are copyright laws that should be being enforced right now that just... aren't. B/c it's billionaires.

I was fortunate enough to see a preview of WILDWOOD and it is amazing! One of the most visually rich and emotionally satisfying movies of any kind I've seen in years. A technical triumph of stop-motion animation enhanced with CGI. Quite dark, though; definitely too intense for younger children.

The Cylons were created by Man. They Rebelled. They Evolved. They look and feel Human. Some are programmed to think they are Human. There are many copies. And they have a Plan.

No joke. I think this is the most important video I have ever seen about mobile games. This guy breaks down how this game psychologically profiles you, and makes the game harder or easier in order to show you ads

Roger Vadim's Barbarella was released 58 years ago today. "In the 41st century, an astronaut partakes in sexy misadventures while seeking to stop an evil scientist who threatens to unleash a powerful weapon upon the galaxy." Such a 1968 movie.

An all-too-necessary reminder that the new owners of Asimov's, Analog, and F&SF are not to be trusted. They are still, after all this time, trying to get away with predatory contracts anywhere they can, and making surprised Pikachu face any time somebody points out the problems.

🧵 Attention, Fellow SFF Artists and Authors -- here is my response to Must Read Magazines, after they presented an Asimov's art contract expecting me to waive all Moral Rights and Copyright to my art. And, I would strongly advise the following to my fellow pros…. 1/

Very pleased to announce that my story "Rust" (originally published in the September/October 2025 issue of Analog) will be reprinted in the 2026 edition of anthology "Think Weirder: The Year's Best Science Fiction Ideas" edited by Joe Stech.

We really need a "yuk" emoji to express the concept "I hate this." The existing "barf" and "nauseous" emojis don't express the sentiment I'm looking for.
