The State Board of Elections’ last-minute changes to voting by mail are leading to thousands more absentee ballots being rejected this election - at a rejection rate twice as high as in 2022. It’s infuriating. North Carolinians, please make a plan to vote this year, in person if possible.

Hit that point in memorizing lines where it feels like pieces of it will just never stick. It’s terrifying and I hate it. I would give just about anything for a photographic memory.

He's admitting it. He's saying out loud that everything he's ever voted for was bullshit. Nothing has ever directly impacted him. Not "boys in girls sports". Not "protecting the borders". None of it. This guy, every Republican, for decades, has only ever voted TO PUNISH OTHER PEOPLE FOR EXISTING.

Just watched The Brink of War. Liked everyone in it. Appreciate that it mostly felt like it was about the event and not propaganda. But on some level I can’t get past the feeling that I could have just as well watched a movie about Jack the Ripper saving a puppy.

James Talarico: 50 years ago, a corporate lawyer named Lewis Powell circulated a memo around DC — a blueprint for how corporations could amass political power, reverse the gains of the Great Society and the New Deal, and rig the system for themselves. And it worked.
