You know what’s shitty? To completely abandon journalistic ethics just so you can attend a tacky dinner with a bunch of kleptocrats who would just as soon seen you locked up.

People here are being really shitty, including at fellow journalists who've been traumatized, and you will regret those posts. Or should. Also this does not help your political cause, whatever that might be.

This Republican Congress had its chance to limit Trump’s reckless war. Instead, they chose to let him continue his bellicose and deranged assault that increasingly endangers the whole world. History will show their sycophantic failures are central to this broken era.

A message to the Republican enablers in Congress. You lost the Wall Street Journal. You have blood on your hands. By enabling this, you participated in the murder of American citizens. Today would be a great day to show up and put an end to this. America needs you now.

It’s amazing how Team NRA changes its tune when the Second Amendment suddenly becomes a problematic argument.

Bessent: I'm sorry he is dead, but he did bring a semiautomatic weapon to what was supposed to be a peaceful protest. Karl: There's no evidence that he brandished the gun whatsoever Bessent: But he brought a gun! Karl: We do have a second amendment in this country.

If Chuck Schumer can’t hold his caucus together on the budget vote this week, he should be forced to resign as leader. This isn’t a yes or no vote on spending. It’s yes or no on fascism. Contact him today!

Omg. I literally can’t take it anymore

With funding for parts of the government set to expire once again, Democrats appear suddenly reluctant to use their leverage to address another issue that is important to their base (and, frankly, a lot of voters outside of it): the money pouring into ICE.

The FBI searched a Washington Post reporter’s home as part of an investigation into classified material, people familiar with the matter said. It is exceedingly rare for federal agents to search a journalist’s home. trib.al/tKsg85n

It’s outrageous that CNN continues to put him on air as a “conservative voice.” He’s a despicable fawning toad and the network sullies itself by association. FFS, get someone credible. And smart would be good, too.

Rick Steves, you are a hero

It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans. 🧵 1 of 9

Russia destroyed 100% of Odesa’s energy infrastructure. All substations were destroyed by missiles and drones. The city has been completely left without electricity, hot water, and heating for over one million people, including all critical infrastructure.

Disgusting. Congressional Democrats must find the will and the way to fight back against the corrupt and blatantly political justices who have seized control of this court.

Are you a business that's colluding with ICE? Caving to the biased attacks on DEI? Funding this administration for tax cuts? Guess what? #WeAintBuyingIt Nov 27–Dec 1, instead we are putting our money where are values are.

Deidre Depke reposted

I’m done funding cruelty. Target cuts DEI, Amazon bankrolls this administration, and Home Depot lets ICE terrorize workers on their lots. My money stays with small shops and people-first businesses. How about you? #WeAintBuyingIt

"Things happen" sometimes, like when you walk into an embassy to apply for your marriage license while your bride-to-be waits outside, but then you get bonesawed to pieces for having exercised freedom of speech as an US-based journalist and have to be carried out in a series of suitcases.

Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.
