The alt theme for #BirdOfTheDay today is #FightingFeathers. Here is a once in a birders lifetime shot I took when I went looking to find Cuckoos at The Stiperstones in South Shropshire #birds #thegardenjungle #wildlifephotography #birdwatching #shropshire #UKwildlife #birdphotography #canon

Anyone going to see Chris Packham at the Theatre Severn on Tuesday? Come say hello if you are … I’ll be on the Cuan Wildlife Rescue stand in the foyer! 🦡 🦔 🦢 #Shropshire #Shrewsbury

Any recommendations for a cottage holiday on the Welsh coast over Christmas, preferably within walking distance of a pub? Which towns/villages should we be looking at? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Finally found time to get back on the Shropshire Hills. A lovely circular walk up onto the Stiperstones, the autumn colours are going to be stunning this year 🍂 #Shropshire

Is your ivy flowering? Please don't cut it back if you can avoid it! At this time of year in the UK, ivy flowers are a brilliant late season pit-stop for hard-pressed pollinators like bees, butterflies, hoverflies and moths 🐝 #gardening #wildlife #nature

Peeping through the window of the cosiest, most hygge cafe we went to in Ribe, during our Danish holiday. Honestly, I could have stayed in there all day #AlphabetChallenge #WeekLforLookingIn

I saw a few Danish kindergartens with all the children outside and fully absorbed in their learning … I really wish we would learn more from their approach to education here 💚

Please say no to garden poisons such as pesticides and weedkillers, to help keep them out of the food chain. Hedgehogs, for example, can eat over 100 invertebrates every night. #wildlife #gardening #nature

Oh my goodness, Ribe! 🇩🇰 Possibly the loveliest town I have ever been to, bursting with Danish charm and hygge. The cosiest cafes, the prettiest streets and houses. Three nights here before moving on 😊

Shrewsbury Otters! #ukwildlife #shropshire #Nature #wildlife #Otters #mammals #photography #wildlifephoto

I spent yesterday afternoon in the garden, trying to work out which shrubs we have definitely lost in the drought and which might have survived. Gardeners - is it a good idea to cut back dead branches on shrubs now or wait until the autumn? I want to give them the best chance and am NO expert! 🍂🍃

Please come to our Classic Car and Craft Fair this Sunday and support the work of Cuan Wildlife Rescue, rescuing and rehabilitating sick, injured and orphaned wildlife! Great day out and the weather doesn’t look too hot! #Shropshire #BritishWildlife

Off to catch a grounded buzzard. We’re admitting many birds of prey that are severely emaciated and dehydrated. Just no food or water to be found. If you do ONE thing, please put shallow dishes of water out in your garden for all wildlife. You’ll be saving lives #Shropshire #BritishWildlife
