You know the funny thing is movies like Double Dragon, Robocop, The Warriors, all have warned what happens when lawlessness runs rampant and people are apathetic towards societal structure. And yet, how close the US is getting TO that collapse and people KEEP scratching their heads about how.

I think it's astounding that Trump and Republicans resort to threats instead of good and electable proven action in hopes people will vote for them. Vote for us or we won't fund you with your own money. Vote for us or we'll never get elected again. Vote for us or we'll kill you. And nobody notices.

since California ballots are now out: prop 40 is the billionaire tax, and you should vote yes to stick it to them but both props 41 and 42 are designed to retroactively cancel the billionaire tax because they’re afraid they can’t beat it at the ballot box yes on 40, no on 41 and 42

Considering how much bot traffic tanked after Ukraine bombed Russian data centers, one has to question the actual intent of the fervor of building data centers in the US and what they will be abused for. Since they'll be harder to bomb.

I truly, deeply, sincerely do think the guy flipping burgers at McDonalds should be able to afford rent, bills, and groceries with his paycheck alone. That's kind of the whole point of having a job and I can't believe this is considered a radical position.🤷🏽‍♀️

I have been wondering for ages, when George Takei was Captain of the Excelsior, if they gave him a replacement coffee cup to replace the one that broke on the bridge.

Tuckerisms is a phrase coined from Tucker Carlson, where a bad faith actor claims to be 'just asking questions', but the questions are deliberately phrased to put the person being asked on the defensive. For example, 'Did you really eat those babies?', fully knowing NOBODY has been accused of that.

Keep in mind, this is not good faith journalism. This is not 'free speech'. This is deliberate denigration and attacks on people, using a Constitutional Right as a weapon, to justify conducting other reprehensible activity. This is why Charlie Kirk is not a martyr.

And Tuckerisms, when they are recognized for what they are, should be immediately stamped out and called out for what they are. Bad Faith Arguments should never be allowed to be part of 'Journalism', because all they do is muddy the waters and cause deliberate confusion and disinformation.

But it has since become a tool of gaslighting and projection. These kinds of questions are asked by people, and sometimes framed as being 'innocent questions' when nobody's actually asking them. This is the kind of crap that Charlie Kirk pulled, and then claimed 'victory' when nobody wanted to play.

Anyone who spews antivaxx propaganda and then calls you a 'sheeple' who should 'do your own research', I just tell them I DID do my own research, and it revealed I'm neither a doctor nor a scientist nor a medical specialist and I defer to those who ARE and THEIR research says GET VACCINATED.

People need to stop acting like the law is just going to stop Trump. He believes in asking forgiveness rather than permission and then just never asking forgiveness after the damage has been done. He has not won a single court case on actual merit regarding 'voter fraud'.

Therefore ALL of his acts that are intending to sabotage and corrupt the election, as lawless as they are, must be stopped BEFORE the damage is done. Congress must be required to make any changes, the Executive Branch is NOT A KING. He clearly does not care about the law or the Constitution.

And he very clearly intends, as he is doing with national landmarks in Washington DC, to completely destroy the institutions and foundations that ACTUALLY made America great to begin with, to ensure he never gets prosecuted for his decades of crime. He must be stopped BEFORE the damage is done.

No matter what Trump signs with his sharpie: The Gulf of Mexico is STILL and ALWAYS will be the Gulf of Mexico. Lake Ontario is STILL and ALWAYS will be Lake Ontario. The Kennedy Center is still and ALWAYS will be the Kennedy Center. Everything Trump will be excised and removed.

1984 was a warning. Not an instruction manual. Fahrenheit 451 was a warning. Not an instruction manual. Animal Farm was a warning, not an instruction manual. So how come it feels like they're being used as instruction manuals by those they warned about?

The thing that disappoints me most out of Fallout 4 is that the ending is much like New Vegas where only one faction gets to come out on top. It should have had another ending where you could unify all the factions and bring peace to the Commonwealth. Even if you had to off all the leaders to do it.

Just saw Masters of the Universe. You know what? Other than Duncan's neck shield being too small and Skeletor's voice was wrong, the rest of it was bang on. This was a fun ride.

It is genuinely bizarre that we’ve become acclimatized to right wingers throwing a tantrum every time a black person (particularly a black woman) is cast in something, but are also supposed to pretend that this is not racism but related to some other substantive concern.

The News Cycle is moving on to talk about Trump's stupid address where he was trying to say the elections were stolen and that he had the proof, only for the proof proved not only wasn't it stolen but everyone was right about him being a liar about his claims. But the Epstein Files aren't going away

I'm no longer interested in being civil with Social Media Fuckos. If they can't take the time to educate themselves with the same information everyone else has access to, then I don't care to treat them with kid gloves anymore. Profanity filter comes off the first stupid reply they make.

Remember, Trump's claims of 'election fraud' are based solely on the fact that Democrats are voting AT ALL in elections. That's it. There's no actual fraud. It's just that people that aren't voting for him are voting in elections and that's his 'fraud'. That's not how fraud or elections work.

I don't care what fondness political leaders may or may not have had for Lindsay Graham. I will forever remember his face twisted in rictuses of hate every time he spewed the party-line propaganda on national TV. If he was a good man, he could have just not. The hatred is what I will remember.

Laura Loomer says that Mitch McConnell is 'officially brain dead' and 'is not coming back'. While not yet officially confirmed by any other media sources or by his office, it could be argued that Mitch has been brain dead since 2016.

So... about the Sony thing. We got told for years that the reason that physical media and digital media cost about the same was because the costs were 'negligible' in comparison that it made sense to charge the same for digital-only downloads than boxing and shipping physical media.

Or could it be that there has been a concerted price-fixing effort amongst game companies for quite some time to get people used to paying the same prices when they COULD have been paying less due to the cost difference of physical media versus digital only?

Especially since digital only cost practically nothing at all in comparison. You don't need to physically produce multiple copies of the same media, you can copy the same data into perpetuity for the same cost as the first one. Additional downloads have zero production cost. I sense a class action.

So if that's the case, why bother shutting down the physical media production at all? If anything, projected production could be scaled back if there was a constant surplus of media, if there were savings at all, that'd be a place to start.

So yeah, found out today that the problem with my portable ACs is that my windows are *HORRIBLY* leaking so I got some gubbins on the way that will allow me to make new seals that I can reuse. I'd ideally like some nice, clean acrylic sheets I can cut to spec and stick in for a better fit but egad.

Theory: The Backrooms is a parallel universe created by an ignorant, immature god trying to emulate our universe but doesn't really actually understand how it works. So what it creates is based on what it thinks it understands, which is why everything is similar but just wrong.

Remember, the reason Trump is so desperate to get the Midterms rigged in his favor is because unlike the Federal election where he got his people to tamper with the EC, he can't do that with State Elections so he's trying anything else he can to disenfranchise voters and rob America of its voice.

I would like to report a violator of Executive Order 13933, one Donald John Trump, currently in hiding behind the Resolute Desk at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington DC 20500. Unfortunately I will be unavailable for a Jury Summons but I will be happy to submit evidence. I expect an arrest soon.
