What upsets me about the timing of this documentary about Elizabeth Holmes is that its happening amongst a moment where pop culture seems to be centering VERY PRIVILEGED white women as the face of women’s incarceration and hosting convos about what incarceration IS for women based upon that.

I like that when I reach out to libraries about adding my book to their collections, the first thing librarians say is usually congratulations on the book. They don't have to do that, but well over 90% have. Supports my long-held belief that librarians should be in charge of more things in society.

Florida is majority retired and snow birds. If ppl over a certain age don’t pony up, who’s gonna pay? Who’s gonna pay for first responders? Others won’t be able to pay the bills for YOU! We grew up w/JFK: Ask not what the country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country. Or state.

My husband and I are both in our 70s and still working. But we have a roof over our heads and food. If and when billionaires are taxed more, I would want the hungry and homeless taken care of first and schools supported.

At 80 we are still using roads, police, firefighters, etc. I'm 72. My husband is 75. If the good Lord allows us to live into our 80s, we will gladly continue to pay property taxes. Also, cost of living affects EVERYONE. Also, most municipalities give a slight discount for people over a certain age.

This is the kind of person we should celebrate as an American. Not the billionaires. Not the tech gurus. A man who nonviolently helped change the laws and kept helping people through the years. Thanks you, Jibreel Khazan.
