I made this post last Thursday, on my 43rd birthday. The weeks have been busy and I've largely ignored social media of late. But I felt it worthwhile to come by and share this. Perhaps it will help someone else along the way. Because really, isn't that what we should be striving for?

The attacks on Iran have already cost the US government more ( > $40bn) than DOGE ever produced receipts of saving ( $32.5bn). This, in addition to the estimated ~$410 increase in the cost of living per American household since the attacks began. But I'm glad we've solved the affordability crisis.

2. Stretch goals are a trap. You're either killing your margins once you're successful, or you're straight up lying to your backers about your real plans. You're also really likely to overextend yourself. Keep it simple.

I like to think that I ruin Bluesky like I ruin all social media platforms.

I felt it necessary to update my article from September. So much happening, it's hard to keep track. But one thing is certain. We continue to sprint full-speed toward the cliff of fascism.

I'm more than a bit disappointed that nuance seems to be a rare skill for people on the Internet, and especially on social media, to develop. And boy, judging by some of the rancid "THERE IS ONLY ONE THING TO BLAME" takes I've been seeing, it's an everywhere issue, not just an American issue.
