Look, I haven’t looked into the THC ban thing at all, these are just my surface thoughts if that somehow means people can’t access it legally anymore. Wtf do they think is gonna happen if we can’t even dull our suffering with weed anymore? Are they TRYING to instigate an uprising? I can’t sleep!

Please turn off your #Ring cameras so that kids/families just trying to participate in #Halloween don't get caught up by ICE. Ring has partnered with them, so we know how this is going to turn out. Also, please consider removing Ring entirely or AT LEAST turn on the e2e encryption. RING=ICE

Has anyone let Stephen miller know that CK was gunned down by and even more extreme right winger than him? He seems to think it was the left shading war, but it’s always been the red white and blue white guys

COVID killed at least 1.1 million people in the US (likely an undercount). COVID vaccines saved at least 3.2 million lives in the US in the first two years alone. Completely unacceptable RFK Jr is restricting vaccine access when he clearly has no idea how COVID or vaccines work.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Warner: "Secretary of Health and Human Service -- he doesn't know how many people died from covid, doesn't know if the vaccine saved lives, doesn't understand the issue that OBGYN doctors are fleeing rural America ... "

People behind me just now: “Have you ever done a man shot?” “No whats that?” “It’s when you squeeze lime in your eyes, snort a line of SALT, take a tequila shot, and then get slapped. Me and a bunch of guys did it at this one thing” Like wtf why would you want to do that???

I am so sick and tired of seeing all of these AI images! Draw something with your own fucking appendages! You are killing the environment and PEOPLE every time you use AI. The art isn’t even good! Have we lost all sense of creativity and patience?! You’re a loser if you use AI.

BREAKING: A few minutes ago, a vehicle of three people was rammed by a truck belonging to federal immigration authorities in Boyle Heights, CA. According to security footage shown to me, they deployed chemical munitions & detained the driver at gunpoint. All are US citizens according to the wife.

The headline asked “Why are so many children getting long Covid?” and though we know that the answer to this question is that the pandemic never ended, meaning many children are still catching Covid, we keep asking this question hoping for a different answer.

Everyone on the Freedom Flotilla knew *exactly* who they were dealing with and the most likely outcome of their actions. They knew there was a greater than 50% chance they would not survive, and they did it anyway. It was a sacrifice of perhaps their lives to force international action. Damn.

New research from Johns Hopkins finds “COVID virus ‘reprograms’ infection fighters into immune system suppressors,” and if you are wondering what this means, my friend, it means that all of us must redouble our own efforts to fight against getting infected.

In the US, 300 people a week are dying of Covid. 1200 a month. 15,600 a year. They’ve restricted COVID testing & reporting… so it’s safe to say those numbers are an undercount (and they don’t include the thousands being disabled) Do they urge mask use? Clean air? No. They restrict vaccines:

abcnews.go.comWhy are more than 300 people in the US still dying from COVID every week?Last month, an average of about 350 people died each week from COVID, according to data from the CDC. With available vaccines and treatments, why are people still dying?

Vinay Prasad made a name for himself on social media by minimizing the risk of Covid and screaming about vaccine mandates. He was all about bodily autonomy and choice when it comes to vaccination. Now that he’s at the FDA? Covid vaccines are restricted to those 65 & over or with “preconditions”

It’s never too late to start masking again. If you’re worried about Covid or sick of being sick, a well fitted respirator is an excellent preventative tool. Look for a local mask bloc if you can’t afford one, and reach out for help. Most of us are happy to help you find the right mask

Covid is a social justice issue. Public Health is a social justice issue. “You do you” doesn’t work when we’re all sharing the air We need to provide free respirators, tests and vaccines. We need to put clean air in public buildings. We need to give folks paid time off We need to work together

Thinking health isn't political is an incredibly privileged take. Those of us living with disabilities know that we have to fight for every scrap of care we can get. Once you lose your health and/or are on the receiving end of dangerous policy decisions you might get political in a hurry.

There’s a large Covid wave in Asia that’s caused a large uptick in hospitalizations. It’s a warning for those of us on the other side of the world. We need to push for more transparency in COVID reporting. Access to tests and vaccines. It’s not over, and people need the info to protect themselves

My tired friend please understand when they see you they are not angry because you are masking, because you are testing, because you are cautious, no, my tired friend please understand when they see you they are angry because the sight of you reminds them the pandemic isn’t over.

“We can’t live with Covid forever! We have to get back to normal” The obsession with “back to normal” is why we’re stuck living with COVID People refused to adapt. We’ve accepted repeat infections as inevitable Clean air, masks in healthcare & paid time off could have given us a safe “new normal”

So let me get this straight: masks are bad and un-American if worn to fight a pandemic, but good if worn by people claiming to be government agents when they kidnap people off the street

4 people off sick yesterday in my team, 3 with resp symptoms. And yet, not a single mask. How is it that a team of HCWs have just forgotten everything they know about airborne transmission of disease. Do people enjoy being sick?
