I had to do Real Job Work today but I did a parts run and @wretch.bsky.social and our friend got the new u joints in, despite the jeep’s wailing. We’re gonna install the axles tomorrow and be done with it for now but like wow she’s shockingly good at working on cars for a woman that cannot drive

On this run through we got: new LCAs, sway bar end links, new hubs with new bearings, front axle u joints, new diff oil, spark plugs, wires, air filter, various bulbs. Oh and I sanded and repainted the diff cover

Plus the plugs/wires/air filter/front diff oil/taillights. Like. Hey that’s like almost close to a drivable normal car again

Also I felt immense relief in the engine bay noticing every single hose that holds coolant, including the ones plumbed to the heater core, has been done at some point recently because the hoses are so new they have parts stickers and feel good. It was like euphoric relief

Also there were just straight up no fucking needle bearings in at least two of the end caps so it’s probably good we did them. Lmao

Josh Turek of Iowa, Democrat, comes out with one of the worst anti-trans ads yet. Not only is it an anti-sports ad, it proposes a ban on federal funding for gender affirming care. That would hit all medicaid and medicare patients, and any ACA federally-subsidized plans as well. Horrific.
