This lead me to the positive message of the day: after seeing what happened to Winnie the Pooh, Steamboat Willie and Popeye, none of us will be alive to see the public domain reimagining of Garfield. #PositiveMessageOfTheDay #Garfield #DeathComesForUsAll

For a second I thought the one on the right was the Garfield movie. Pretty scary too. #Lasagna

#LastFourWatched #LetterboxdFriday 1. I never heard of this shockingly. It’s ok. 2. Having recently watched Crawl, this doesn’t cover new ground but it’s fun. 3. Radcliffe is good, movie is good not great. 4. Turned out to be delightfully Irish and charming. Worth a watch. No. 1 rec o’ the week.

I know none of these shitheads believe in the things that they say, but is this particular assclown trying to convince his supporters that the founding fathers got to heaven and started a revolution against god? Now they’re in charge of judging souls?

The NFL ads on Peacock using the music of the VIOLENT FUCKING FEMMES have been driving me nuts. Some things are not for football.

A ‘STAR WARS’ themed Super Bowl broadcast will air on Disney+ on February 14. NFL player-tracking technology will recreate every play in real time, turning players into animated ‘STAR WARS’ characters. #StarWars #SuperBowl

#LastFourWatched #LetterboxdFriday 1. It’s a tradition watch but I enjoy Kiss embarrassing themselves. 2. Nice to see the fam but this wasn’t good. 3. Fun but never rises above the joke in the title. 4. This was a good reimagining and stuck to the original pov: juvenile delinquency= worst crimes.

Why are so many podcasts adding video of people sitting at a table talking. It’s stopping my player from playing when not connected to WiFi.At least when Stern put cameras in the studio you knew some asses were gonna get balonied.

Should we all be rewatching the episode of King of the Hill where Hank spent all of the Christmas money on Y2K prep?

Matt Novak@paleofuture.bsky.social

I keep trying to think of any historical example where a given technology's PROMOTERS AND TRUE BELIEVERS were like 'we are absolutely going to ruin your fucking life so be prepared like it's the end of the world'

#LastFourWatched #LetterboxdFriday 1. Looks great, nothing happened. 2. Can’t fault the Chuck Jones animation but there wasn’t much here. 3. This was like 10 after school specials dressed up as a horror movie. No good. 4. Very goofy, especially for A24, but funny in parts. Don’t fully recommend.

#LastFourWatched #LetterboxdFriday 1. The official entry into spooky season. Classic. 2. It’s bundled into 1 for no reason but it’s good. 3. Airplane-style horror spoof. Funny enough and it has Vincent Price. 4. Really funny stuff.

Happy #LetterboxdFriday! Time to post your #LastFourWatched 📲

Name a film you watched at a drive-in. Read it and weep, suckers.

Amra_the_Lion@nlogan77.bsky.social

Name a film you watched at a drive-in. We lived next to a drive-in for the summer of 1989. My brother and I would tether our sleeping bags to the roof with bungee cords and tune our AM radio to whichever movie we wanted to watch. We would sleep out and watch movies until they closed for the night.

“Well, the bachelorette party cereal isn’t moving units. Who’s got ideas to church this shit up?”

🎃 Matthew Jack-o'-lantern 🎃@awalrusdarkly.bsky.social

Thanks to GOOD MYTHICAL MORNING I now know about Prince of Thieves cereal, a pseudo-tie-in to the Costner Robin Hood movie with cereal pieces that were meant to look like arrows but just look like dicks. Y'all they made Robin Hood Dick Cereal in 1991.

#LastFourWatched #LetterboxdFriday 1. Plodding, couple of fun kills, terrible “twist.” 2. Fine but not much to it. Do the Mario voice or quit! 3. Very funny again but you can feel the difference between specials, just getting better. 4. Watched for Emma Stone and was pleasantly surprised by this.

I’m thrilled to accept, on behalf of the episode “Devil in the Dark,” the awards for “Best Miners” and “Best Pizza.” I’m saddened by the loss of “Best Bones & Teeth,” but we will carry on.

#LastFourWatched #LetterboxdFriday 1. I don’t know what to say beyond the title. Very goofy but sorta ok. 2. Didn’t know he did stand up but he was so in TONY that I checked this out—👍. 3. Rifftrax and colorizing did nothing for this. Stick to the original. 4. Waste of time. No story here at all.

#LastFourWatched #LetterboxdFriday 1. Pretty good doc, worth a watch. Mr. T is a great subject. 2. I liked it in the end but there are too many songs that add nothing. 3. Interesting 70s cast but also terrible in every way. Rifftrax watch for me. 4. The title says it all. Very funny show.

Apparently people are sharing this far and wide on social media, which I think is horrible. This could cripple ICE operations. PLEASE do not share this.

#LastFourWatched #LetterboxdFriday 1. No time for the movie but Lego’s always fun. 2. This was an interesting find and very good. Produced by Waititi sold us on it. 3. I never clicked with TBC until this watch. I guess I didn’t get therapy back then. 4. Taylor is so funny. Watch all of her stuff.

The best Mr. is Spock. No, wait, it’s Roboto. Is it too late to change my vote?
