“I guess I’m just worried about letting one side have control of the WH for more than 4 years…”

Could Big Media please get together and kill the word “ouster”? If y’all had said “ousting” instead, the dictionaries would have adjusted…

I’m new to congressional bribery but why “kilo” and not “kg”? I thought “kilo” was specific to cocaine and whatnot…

My internet hygiene is nowhere near what it should be. But Menendez, you magnificent bastard.

Hey @astrokatie.com I’m writing a paper for my intro level survey of astronomy class about what’s “inside” black holes, is there anything that jumps out as a must-read? I want to big picture cover the main ideas but I’m worried I’ll miss something!

Some consultant is going around telling these people, “Actually, making everyone hate you is good for your company.”

There it is. Reddit CEO Steve Huffman has said the quiet part out loud. Huffman praised Elon Musk’s aggressive Twitter cost-cutting and layoffs. He also said Musk’s handling of Twitter is an example for Reddit to follow. More Reddit layoffs incoming?

I’ve got some of that big “put socks in pairs” energy right now, and it feels both wasted and perfect.

PGA was incredible today. Mike Block, just a regular club pro, getting paired with Rory, making a hole in one in front of him, and placing top 15. What a trip 🏌‍♂️

Big boat stuck is the first live event I’ve learned about from bsky and I’m just so proud of everyone here…

I usually use Google Meet, so the second click needed to end a Zoom call gives me way more stress than is probably reasonable…

I think this is also how Reddit started, fwiw!

right now what you're getting is kind of like reddit without subreddits, which is to say a really big part of the experience is missing

this app made their icon just a bit bigger than all the others and i want to throw up every time i look at my screen

the shame of having to ask the other people at the driving range to pause while you go get your club head makes me want to climb back into bed and not leave for a week

I’m at my coworking space and forgot my headphones, but the person next to me just handled a stressful meeting really well so proud of her!

Important: Similar to your likes, your block list is public data! While users of the Bluesky app can’t easily find this list now, the data is public and enumerable at the protocol level. This means that third-party apps or clients can surface and display your list.

I have for sure no clue how you’d even implement blocks at the proto level, I bet they’re gonna have to do it at the app level and apologize a lot until people get used to not getting to control other people’s feed.

A lot of web scraping obfuscation either make a site unintelligible to GPT or are kind of useless now…

I see some ppl have their own… domains? Is that doable for a tech capable rando like me, or are those folks doing active dev work?

You are up to date.
