Ever since the bot farms were destroyed, I have seen a significant reduction in transphobic and racist comments on my TikTok. I usually get tons. Every day. HUH. WHO’D A THUNK IT.

This is being shared all over TikTok by the way. Europe-wide Gen Z protests planned for 17th October and 20th November. Seems to be led by the French (unsurprisingly), but it’s for everyone.

This is a platform where authors sign up to have AI “adapt” their books into movies. Or, in other words, the one of the worst things ever created.

Just got back from a meditation class at the local Thai Buddhist temple (I’m not spiritual I just lived in Thailand as a kid and find temples comforting). Fed the fish, drank Milo, and then ended up on a quest with a nun in search of the Abbot. To think, I used to go clubbing.

The foxes in my back garden don’t seem to be nocturnal at all. Or rather - they are awake all day and all night and never seem to sleep.

Massive protests in France, Belgium and India right now and I’m realising I’m really not on the correct social media because I’m not seeing enough of it. Actively trying to train my algorithms to show me more than just the US. I know we share a language but damn it I want to see the WORLD.

Wrote 2000 words at 3am and just read them back. They’re not half bad. Lord knows why I decided to revisit the cannibal regency romance WIP in the middle of the night, but it’s nice to have momentum!

A really exciting and very secret author thing just happened! Gonna celebrate with mango sticky rice and hot gay Thai shows. That’s another thing people don’t tell you about being an author - there’s a lot of quietly celebrating things you can’t talk about yet, except to say - hooray!

“Dear Barrington…” The author marketing scam emails can’t even figure out which one is my first name. Barrington is not my first name, Disco is. I know Disco doesn’t seem like a first name, but it was given to me in the mid 2000s when I would dance for 48 hrs straight every weekend and it’s MINE.
