Gas is now 3.99 at the station by my house. Not sure if regular unleaded has been this high in a very very long time but it's going to kill people that do gig work. Getting to work is going to be expensive. Diesel is 4.99. we are going to see price increases right fast on about everything.

If you have not watched "Paradise" on Hulu you are missing some good tv. Season 1 was good. Season 2 has been amazingly good.

I have been looking for a little side gig to supplement my income. Maybe a bad time to be looking. But does it seem like companies have gotten just absolutely horrible at communicating? They want to use AI and a lot of other automation tools that just seem to make the whole experience awful.

“Palm Royale” show on AppleTv is a fun show. It’s a straight up enjoyable, sometimes laugh out loud, mess. We need more shows like this in our lives.

This literally makes zero sense. Americans already knew who stood in the way. And the Dems just gave that up. Even if they hold the vote, they vote no and move on. Dems take the blame for allowing it to happen in the first place when they had leverage to stop it.

Voting for all your local reps and initiatives is extremely important. It’s where the most impact to your daily life happens. Voted to continue funding feeding kids free breakfast and lunch. I don’t have kids but it’s one of the few things I can do to help folks that live in CO.

These big networks were already slowly (very slowly) moving away from needing affiliates, having to make deals with cable companies, etc to streaming. I would have to think they might start fast tracking to get out of needing to have to deal with the government and FCC. Regardless of party.

Catching up on Sunday talk shows and all from today. I moved to Evans district in CO. A seat Dems hope to take. I will not vote for any Dem that supports keeping Jeffries as the speaker in the house. Even if that means leaving it blank.

I have started watching "Mobland" and am impressed so far. I have watched the first two episodes. It has a pretty good cast, but Tom Hardy makes it all worth it.

This is a complete misreading of the American consumer. They will almost always pick the cheaper option. Trying to sell the prospect of "American made" is great in theory but the idea the majority of Americans want to pay the price for it is going to be a really tough sell to make.

One thing that seems to be missing in these stories. Federal is not lowering our taxes while they disband and attempt to transfer these responsibilities to states. States are going to have to cut other local/state services or raise taxes. We are going to either pay more or get way less. or both.

Republicans have until March 14 to keep the government open. Dems are willing to work together to protect critical services. But their partisan bill takes away funding from veterans, health care, and housing. If they want to pass their backwards bill, it’s on them.

There were howls of protest and denial from the GOP any time we pointed out that Republicans want to cut Social Security. Now the most powerful official in the White House goes on TV and calls it "the big one to eliminate."

This should scare everyone. The Trump admin revoked Mahmoud’s legal status, kidnapped him, and is now holding him in an ICE detention facility without any due process. Trump is an authoritarian, testing the limits to see how much he can get away with. He won’t stop here.

Well. hmmmm I am starting to think that this is the best we are going to get from the current Dem leadership. They are going to help Trump bail out the farmers to the tune of billions and help them give a stimulus check too. Helping the GOP buy off the harm they are going to cause so many people.

As a journalist who covers extremism at the local level, I think it’s a mistake to view Trump’s Napoleonic statement as solely about presidential power. Consider if it’s interpreted as a wink and a nod for any extremist to act outside the law to “save” the country as they see fit

Not surprisingly, the Trump and GOP budget has nothing about no tax on tips, nothing on no tax on overtime, and nothing on no tax on social security. It does have a $4.5 trillion tax cut for billionaires however.

I live in CO. Dems control everything here. They had a super majority for a short period. They lost that. Instead of using that super majority to shove policy down the throat of the GOP they were instead more concerned about giving them a seat at the table. Dems are their own worst enemy.

I watched Sunny on AppleTV+ last night. Binged the series as the episodes were 35-40 minutes. A pretty decent show but it makes for a weird and bleak future. Assuming we make it that far. It is hard to comprehend that code and robots are going to be the next big frontier for crimes big and small.

When they decide to start deporting "illegal" immigrants what is going to be defined as illegal? It could be a wide net. Asylum seekers and those who got work permits? Are they going to try and cancel school visas, etc too? Not sure we have truly heard what they will define as illegal.
