BART and Muni are both facing deficits of over $300 million, and if we don't fund our public transit, both are facing severe service cuts. Vote YES on the Regional Transit Measure to keep our public transit running.

"Surveillance is not safety," EFF's Rindala Alajaji said, via @nbcbayarea.com. "That’s why EFF and the ACLU of Northern California are suing the city of San Jose on behalf of SIREN and CAIR - because in a single year, San Jose PD ran over 250,000 warrantless searches on this location data."

Fixing an old analog white noise machine, the Marsona 1200A. Modern white noise machines sound super tinny and just repeat the same recording over and over, you can start to notice it loop if you're laying in bed long enough.

This thing will even simulate distant waves crashing, always puts me right to sleep. It needed new potentiometers and a couple new caps, unfortunately the build quality doesn't seem that great out of the factory. It gets brand new Nichicons

“Lost media” no longer! I finally got permission to upload “AL’S BRAIN,” an 11-minute educational 3-D film attraction which ran at the Orange County and Western Washington fairs, and hasn’t been seen publicly since 2009. You can watch the whole thing here: youtu.be/2xujU87ZHt4

every time I drive to work instead of taking the train the Transit Gods punish me with the most fucked up traffic imaginable

this is why you OPEN SOURCE things! The ribbon cable on this PC ripped after a decade of use. The design files are public though, so it was trivial to just order another one from a board house. PC saved from the trash!

This is a Pandora 1GHz handheld Linux PC. Arm Cortex A8 inside of a TI DM3730 with 512MB of SDRAM. Its booting Alpine Linux with kernel version 6.20. Right now its all printing to a UART console. The cable for the screen ripped and I am waiting on a replacement

Has anyone ever archived a plushie before? I ripped all the lines that the Oneyplays Nostalgia Critic Plush says using a line level converter and a USB audio board. Full fidelity, nothing recorded with a microphone archive.org/details/oney...

The only upside of your scope being basically an android tablet with an analog frontend is that it can run DOOM
