Anthropic's IPO filing yesterday revealed at least* $550bn in off-balance sheet debt, for a company with $16B in annual revenue. Paying its bills will require Anthropic to sustain implausible revenue growth given the pressures that are squeezing their--and the whole AI ecosystem's--margins. A 🧵

Newsom may single handedly facilitate a new movement of third parties to happen again in California, similar to the Greens heyday in the early 90's. He is proving the folly of trusting progressive policies to corporate-owned politicians, no matter which side of the aisle they're on.

Once again. Just like the Paramount Merger Gavin Newsom does what he always does. Sells out the working class people for the billionaires again and again. Not only that but endorses a bill that will make it impossible to tax the wealthy at all. www.commondreams.org/news/newsom-...

Poverty is a policy choice. Concentrated wealth is a policy choice. Inequality is a policy choice. None of it is natural or inevitable. Remember: We have the power to build a system that serves the many, not the powerful few.

71 years ago white supremacists kidnapped, tortured, and murdered a 14-year-old Black child named Emmett Till. Some still haven't heard his story. But in the wake of Nolan Wells and Tamir Rice, a reminder that these atrocities continue—& we must not become numb to them. Here's to remembering Emmett.

Enes Kanter would have thrown a dildo on the court, but because I remember Enes Kanter's NBA career, I know he would have missed.

Gary, Indiana is 77% percent Black. Thousands have been without power for nearly two weeks. Many are without safe water. Yet every data center is operational & using enormous amounts of both power and water. This is what oligarchy looks like. Everyone suffers so the 1% can make even more.

I finished the longest novel I’ve ever read tonight. 989 pages 🤩 What a journey it’s been, and I’m so glad I took on the challenge. What helped me to succeed? Reading it in community with teachers around the world. So much in this book left to think and talk about this weekend 🙌🏻

I really really loved #Odyssey. But I also wonder if Nolan is evolving in his worldview or it just differs when he contextualizes with the lens of history because that film was almost a polar opposite of the themes in the Batman franchise
