Great discussion in this episode, worth a listen for any software engineer looking to improve the clarity of their code

If you work in a code base that feels heavier than it should, @donmackinnon.dev explains why the real cause is often unnecessary structure, unclear layers, and too many ideas packed into simple problems. Catch up on his Maintainable episode with @Robbyonrails.com: maintainable.fm/episodes/don...

Sad to see Deno get acquired only to get shut down. Having both Bun and Deno out there as competition to Node led to a lot of improvements in the ecosystem, or a least different thinking about the problem space. On a side note, celld looks very interesting and I need to spend some time with it

The folks at @wasp.sh did a write-up on the Searchcraft customer dashboard. We proudly chose Wasp early on because we prioritize being able to ship quickly. As a developer tool company we value the developer experience and Wasp checked the boxes. wasp.sh/blog/2026/07...

wasp.shMade with Wasp: how Searchcraft built a full-stack SaaS around their Rust search engine | WaspHow Searchcraft, a Rust-based Algolia alternative, built their full-stack customer dashboard with Wasp and the Open SaaS template.

My son and I are heading to Portland OR tomorrow for his class registration for uni. I’ve joked with him about going back to school to be his roommate ala Rodney Dangerfield. Of course I wouldn’t but I am somewhat jealous on top of being very excited for him.

For a long time I worked on websites for some of the larger publishing brands. Everyone who worked on the websites got their name featured in the magazine mastheads for the print editions. It was a good era, kind of sad that tradition disappeared.

This update from Wasp is huge. In case you didn't know, we explicitly chose Wasp when building out our customer dashboard for Searchcraft because we needed to build a full-stack TS application fast. We needed to know that our packages and tooling would work well together from day 1.

You write frontend code. You write backend code. Wasp lets you write a third kind: full-stack code. Pages, routes, auth, jobs, and more, all defined in a single spec that ties your whole app together. And as of today, it's 100% TypeScript. Introducing the Wasp TS Spec. 🐝👇

Apparently Remix 3 is no longer a React framework, the team built their own component model. Best of luck y'all, I dunno if we need another component framework but I am glad to see more alternatives to Next.

If you're leaving GitHub, we'd be very happy to chat! We work remotely, pay top-end of European salaries and are hell bent on building the best code forge ever. We're hiring for one intermediate/senior role right now: jobs.tangled.org/software-eng.... Go, Firecracker, distributed systems.

You know, now is probably a good time to recruit GitHub employees. I know that if I worked there, I would be actively interviewing (...and being oddly silent on social media)

One of my favorite shows is For All Mankind. Mostly because it shows what humanity could be doing if it focused on science and exploration rather than destruction.

I didn’t make an account here to talk to bots I’m here to converse with humans. The spammy bot replies are super annoying, I will 100% block and report if you are coming at me with that garbage.
