Haven't been on here in a hot minute lol. Haven't posted much about my collecting on here either as I've mostly just stuck with IG for that. But yeah, I felt I needed to air my thoughts on collecting as a hobby as I've been hit with something I thought I'd gone past a year ago...

I hadn't said a word to the person since cutting ties. no attempts from either side to. communicate and the first the person says to me on social media is a statement to make an offer for my items. I didn't respond directly and I won't. The person will forget about it and move on so I should too...

Vultures and scavengers snatched up the most high value stuff within the first hour of the sale but I walked awag with some stuff I thought was cool to me. Didn't think much of it aside from the being stuff to add to my collection til I got a response after I posted part of my haul...

Found an item at a convention that hit every checkmark for what I would want to find there to add to my collection and to my horror, I had learned one of the dudes with us wanted it just to sell. I knew then and there I'd need to protect my hobby as I was surrounded by opportunists.

I have a weird personal categorization of action figures and I kinda take the idea from WWE & Transformers fig categories: Like the 2nd lowest tier are the Basics. Simple changing toys if they can change. Limited movement, limited articulation. Like Basics/Main Event WWE & Core Class Transformers.

Then there's the "Oh Nah" tier which are figs so expensive I'll never give them a second thought. This tier is never reached so I don't even know the lines to list outside of vehicles that are hundreds of dollars and crowdfunded HasLab & the like.

The tier above the Deluxe tier is what I consider the "Collector" tier. Those the ones with even better articulation, more accessories, even better detail, better transformation if applicable. Think WWE Ultimate Edition, McFarlane Platinum Collection/Collector Edition, Transformers Voyager/Leader.

Haven't posted too much about my findings on here. But the latest I found was a Sabu Deluxe Aggression action figure. I've been building a collection of Deluxe Aggression figures and their Non-WWE equivalents for some time.

A few places I know now not to waste gas on are Ollie's, Burlington, & Ross. Some areas in different parts of the country getting some nice stuff but over here they've been barren. Haven't found anything good in over a month and most of what you'll find is TMNT stuff.

Got a new delivery of wrestling figs today that I had won at auction. First CM Punk Deluxe Aggression WWE fig, first Kelly Kelly fig, Killer Kowalski with the Wrestlemania 19 ticket, and Captain Lou Albano with the Wrestlemania 18 ticket. Luck I didn't have to fight too hard for these😅

one thing I've noticed is that folks on Shopgoodwill will work themselves into a shoot. You bidding on shit thinking you getting a good deal while beating folks out for stuff but then some of these goofies don't realize they bid so much that now they paying more than Amazon or eBay...
