With the midterms coming up & everything that has happened the last 9 months, I felt like I needed to post something. Ignorantly, in the past, I only voted in presidential elections. Now I am voting in any election I can. Alex stood up for his community so now it is time we stand up & fight back.

Kamala Harris: I think that going in the direction of impeachment is not a good idea. I was in the Senate for the last go-round, and the votes aren’t there. I think after the election, we all have to just also agree that our attitude has to be to get stuff done…

Raskin: "When historians look back on this miserable period of our history, they might say that the first problem was disregarding all those women who told us back in 2016 that they had been sexually harassed or assaulted by Donald Trump."

Donald needs some new material. His tired bag of tricks is almost empty. And the people stupid enough to believe this were *always* going to vote for him anyway.

If your response to this is the 2/3 conviction requirement, thank you, but, I know. That said, (1) there is a lot more to this than the final vote and (2) we — Trump, Democrats, Republicans, the country — are in a very different place than we were in Trump 1.0.

JFC. Did no one tell her what the Trump administration is trying to do to California, literally as they spoke?

Trump on Somalia: "Remember I made the statement? Shithouse countries ... all they do is go around and kill people all day long. Pirate ships. Kill people. I'm surprised they can pirate the ship"

We are facing a crisis of impunity. That's why we built The Rule of Law Project — to investigate unlawful conduct by federal officials, and work with state and local prosecutors to hold them to account. Watch Mark Blumberg and Brad Adams launch this new initiative on MSNOW with Nicolle Wallace.

It's no longer left versus right, liberals versus conservatives or even Democrat versus Republican. It’s now democracy versus oligarchy. Freedom versus dictatorship. Right versus wrong. Know the stakes. The midterms are here.

If we lived in a sane country, he'd be forced to flee the country to a non-extradition nation using a fake passport.

Trump on El-Sayed: "I call him Muhammed. He goes by Abdul. Abdul Ramadan ... we can't have these people in the United States. With the guy up in Michigan, we're gonna have to do the metal detector test before he's allowed to sit every day."

HHS wants a new Medicare code that pays doctors extra only when they attribute a patient’s symptoms to a vaccine. Vaccine critics say doctors are paid to push vaccines. We aren’t. Under this code, we’d be paid to blame them. My new piece in @cidrap.bsky.social: www.cidrap.umn.edu/childhood-va...

#Auspol, if you want to hear truthful, kind, informed, and up-to-date commentary on what is unfolding daily in the USA, I strongly recommend David Rothkopf as a trusted source, whether it be directly or via @thedsrnetwork.bsky.social. My household listens to them every day.

American capitalism killed American democracy. Fail to admit that and it doesn't matter what election results may bring because we won't be able to fix the real issues that are hurting us as a country. davidrothkopf.substack.com/p/america-is...

The bad: measles cases in the U.S. are more than double what they were last year, with 96% of cases being unvaccinated. The good: Pennsylvania has so far administered 14,000 more vaccines this year than last. The dream: The anti-vax movement is deservedly shunned and everyone gets vaccinated.

One of the infectious disease physicians who I always read, & whose views/guidance I trust the most, is @jakescottmd.bsky.social This is a superb Op-Ed, laying out how RFK Jr’s latest vaccine injury initiative is designed to DISTORT data on vaccines—he’s collecting biased data to fit his opinions

CIDRAP@cidrap.bsky.social

CIDRAP Op-Ed: HHS says it wants better evidence on vaccine injuries. It’s building a system that will produce the opposite. Read full Op-Ed by @jakescottmd.bsky.social: https://bit.ly/4yDSw9n
