New Rose was released 50 years ago today apparently. In the intervening decades I’m not sure there’s been a more exciting intro. Oh and the rest of it stands up alright as well.

eBay users! Don't ignore today's email, even though it looks like a boring standard update to the User Privacy Notice. They want to use your data to train AI models. If you click the link over the words "the right to object", it takes you to a page with a toggle button letting you opt out.

You and I can absolutely agree on that point. He’s our GOAT, but there’s still an outside chance in 2030 too.

I know you're all sad about the Falklands and Tuchel fucking it up but I'd love to see the greatest player of this era win back-to-back World Cups aged 35 and, for Christ's sake, 39

Hi Bluesky Football (definitely NOT soccer). Much has been said about how many games the World Cup finalists, Spain, have gone unbeaten. As of today it stands at 37 games undefeated - but can anyone tell me who the last team to beat them was?

Dougie still hasn't had an answer to this, I have a lot of North American pals can any of them help him?

This video was from a Saturday in July (last week) at what was billed as “Garbage at Edinburgh Castle”. However the uniqueness of the city and it’s struggle against haar (it’s a sort of mist) rendered it invisible. Here’s a video - note the phone screen in front.

Why do these always get promoted around 2230? Do they think we won’t notice?

The attacks in Edinburgh, in which an armed bare-chested white man terrorised Muslims, leaving five people injured, don't feature on a single newspaper front page this morning. Two tier journalism

Playing a WC friendly with the opponent down to 10 men won’t do Scotland any good. So let’s take a player off and make it even.

It’s been a long week of kicks in the balls for us Hearts fans. Last day shite, losing Shankland for nothing, probably losing Devlin for nothing, woman’s team win the league but half the team are being cut due to budgets and their manager is off. Jeezo.

Jeez I seem to follow a lot of Arsenal supporters on here, maybe it’s because we have a lot in common and not just football; to you all I send my most hearty congratulations on your Premiership Title win.

A team that has won 13 or 14 of the last 15 titles or something. Is owned by one of the richest men in Ireland, has a former Labour Minister as Chairman, ex Chairman a UK cabinet minister with a support around the world thinks its not the establishment 🤔😅

Just checked the BBC's setup for example: absolutely no indication that you will be able to get this information from them. 27 years and 7 elections into devolution, and effectively half of the story is invisible on the national broadcaster's website. Mortifying stuff, frankly.

Ballot Box Scotland@ballotbox.scot

A really key bit for me is the same is available for the regional vote too. We'll see if broadcasters have improved this year, but at elections thus far reporting of the list vote has been shockingly inadequate, only showing the region-wide result, missing the important seat-by-seat story.
