Sports fandom is an act of faith, a belief without evidence that some day your chosen team will reach the pinnacle of their field.

Happy Waking Up in Rivendell Day to all who celebrate

Everyone celebrate the Brewers win by driving carefully home and not hitting any light poles.

I'm hoping the two-fisted slopper can make the game tonight.

Found a PWEI cd at the restore and got a Couch Flambeau LP from the antique store, not a bad end to my vacation.

Last night I played my first game of Call of Cthulhu in *coughs* thirty plus years. Almost managed to keep my sanity.

Thinking about whether there are ways to work euclidean horror into ttrpgs.

Warhammers - I just think they're neat.

In my day, when we had an important question, we didn't ask AI, we just emailed Strong Bad.

Today I learned my wife has very strong opinions about whether Crows or Ravens are better and I am an the wrong side of the issue.

Tim Powers has been on my "authors to read" list for a while but heard two separate people recommend "On Stranger Tides" by him this weekend and it's going to the top of my reading list.

Keep pitching my "it's like 'Stranger Things' but the kids play battletech TV show," but still no takers.

Who can forget that scene in Lord of The Rings where Vincent Van Gogh stopped the Balrog by drawing a caricature of the beast.

Pirate or Blues Legend: Peg-Leg Howell?

Pretty sure I saw fiber optic cable on the telephone poles in The Irishman.

Brewers!

Was wondering why so.many people where downtown late tonight dressed up, but I think a bunch of schools have homecoming?

"Baby shoes. m.i.b., no lowballs."

Hemingway's first draft: Baby shoes, never worn, didn't fit baby. Second draft: baby shoes, never worn, didn't fit.

Do you think record stores stock Mojo Nixon at this point so punks won't tell them their store needs fixin'?

Trying to imagine if there were a modern version of The Traveling Wilburys and I can't do it. Figure it would be made up of successful artists from the 90s-10s.

Reading a book about 78 rpm record collectors and keep thinking "I should do that" but I really shouldn't torture my wallet more than I already do.

Turned out it was Bier in Vier.

Good job, Brewers.

Took one of my daughters to her first "big" concert and then spent way too much time trying to decide if the narrator in one of the songs played Barbarians in DnD because the song mentions D12s.

Bring back giant foam fingers.

I always try to syncopate the audience clap-alongs at concerts.

Padres probably don't even celebrate Curdtober. SMH

High fiving all of you.

As an adopted person, I'm sad no one sent me the story about the guy whose birth-father turned out to be Michael McDonald.

"How did you get into ttrpgs?" Went to Gen Con years ago for Star Trek content and a really enthusiastic sales person convinced my best friend to buy a TTRPG called "Battlelords."

More like PC0-4

The best part of "Little Women" is when the realize they need to combine their powers to defeat the publishing company, and they form Mecha-woman Zed.

Deep Substrate Foliated Kalkite

Today, I will finally register for Gamehole Con events.

calling in sick to the kickflip factory and confusing everyone as to whether i'm coming in or not

I hope the Brewers win the World Series this year, but if they don't at least they'll be in a great position to make another run in the coming years. That wasn't something we could say about the Brewers teams from 10 or 20 years ago.

A little sad that whoever bought the "iconic" Milwaukee building across from my house cut down almost all the trees.

Day 16 of 20 days of work in a row, time has last all meaning, there is only work and sleep now.

"It's Clem Fandango, can you hear me?"

One of the unexpected pluses of @tabletopbookshelf.com is I usually end up adding new books from their curated fiction and non-fiction picks to my reading list every time I go there.
