New satellite photos show a Russian military buildup along NATO's northeastern flank, including a base that can house 80,000 Russian troops near Finland -- 4x the previous amount. Nordic & Baltic news agencies report with confirmation by military intelligence and armed forces.

The first fighter jets and support aircraft from participating nations have already arrived at Kallax in Sweden, Rovaniemi in Finland and Ørland in southern Norway. The exercise will be coordinated from NATO's Combined Air Operations Centre (CAOC) in Bodø, north of the Arctic Circle.
