This WSJ investigation exposes yet more Tether-related corruption at the White House, revealing that they paid Bo Hines' consulting firm millions as he was ensuring the Genius Act stablecoin law would benefit them. I needed a diagram.

there was an interview with a guy who was a diplomat and he would come home from events to find things moved around in their house and poo in their toilets. It was on Morning Joe last week - can't remember but that detail stood out to me.

Legal experts say Christa Pike is the first person in the United States to survive one dose — let alone two — of lethal injection drugs. “There is nothing in the execution process that states are incapable of getting wrong,” said one death penalty expert.

propublica.orgWhy Tennessee’s Botched Death Row Execution Could Happen AnywhereThe complications behind Tennessee’s failed execution of Christa Pike aren’t uncommon — and show how easily another botched execution could occur, even as others are planned soon in Texas and Florida.

It's Banned Books Week and I'm restacking my shelves. A book people try to ban is a book people should read. What's the banned book that changed you? I'll start: Fahrenheit 451 still hits.

When the Democratic presidential primaries start, there will be a lane for this and, if the winner decides to embrace it -- as they absolutely should -- then it will become a real issue. But barring a change in direction from congressional Democrats, not a second before then.

If Hakeem Jeffries or Chuck Schumer were out there denouncing the GOP and directly characterizing the Trump administration as "fascist," with no modification or equivocation, the media might start talking about it too. But they're not going to go there on their own.

I would too, but this elides a central problem with Democrats and the media -- unlike the Republican Party, which is *very* happy to carpet bomb the media with a message that then directs their coverage, most prominent Democrats are reluctant to do anything like that.

www.nytimes.com/2026/09/12/u... Don't have time to fully comment on this article, but I would love to see a parallel article about the much more plausible assertion that the Republican party, from the President and the VP on down, has been captured by right-wing extremists.

They tried to tear down voting rights, courts, public schools, and every guardrail that keeps power from running wild. The answer is not despair. The answer is a packed polling place in 2026, lines around the block, and a country that refuses to kneel🔥 #BlueWaveIn50Days #USDemocracy
