I saw Musk, Alex Gibney's documentary, yesterday afternoon. This is easily the most important documentary of the last decade. Watching it reminded me that over the last decade, exactly two publications have done a stand-up job of covering Musk: WSJ and Wired. The balance of US media has been AWOL.

I study money in politics for a living which means I have to wait for post election spending reports to know key facts like 1. How much did the past election cost or 2. which person was the biggest spender or 3. Which corporation was the biggest spender. Or 4. How much dark money was spent. 🤑

In Iowa, the Republican gubernatorial candidate actually lives in Kansas and appears to be fully financially dependent on his wife's family (she's from the Koch Brothers family), while his lieutenant governor candidate is fully dependent on his parents, who are suing hm for $275,000 in unpaid rent.
