I am a computer engineer right now focusing on GenAI applications. Other than AI, I enjoy making homemade pizza and ice cream.

Bachman-Turner Overdrive releases “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” 52 years ago today — a song originally used as a “work track” to set the amplifiers and mics. “We thought, just for fun .. I’d stutter” the ‘b-b-b-baby’ line, Randy Bachman said. It stuck. 🎸

Reminder: there's NO legitimate use for crypto. Its only practical uses are tax evasion, money laundering, fraud, specualtion, and crime. No Democrat should vote for the so-called CLARITY Act, a bill backed by the crypto lobby that would make this Ponzi scheme even worse.

Sharing two videos from yesterday that will stick with me for a while: First, Bo Bichette receives a deserved ovation from the Toronto crowd, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. -- still acting like a brother -- gets him to tip his helmet.

I try very hard to ignore the insanity in the White House but as hard as I try I can’t seem to get to the level that Wall Street does. How do they do it?

Why is AI such a threat to so many? Because to effectively use AI you need to rigorously fact check the output which is a skill in short supply in society today.

"The way some of these other immigrants are getting treated in our country right now is a travesty and a disgrace... I think what’s going on in our country — what we’re doing to some of these amazing immigrants, is really unfortunate and it’s really sad." - Charles Barkley on CBS

Wouldn’t it be the height of irony if by conducting this war Trump pushed the rest of the world to move to renewable energy, reduce carbon emissions and finally halt global warming. Of course the US would be left in the dust with old expensive fossil fuel burning infrastructure.

The nice thing about watching the NCAA games with a quad box on is that it is easy to switch the sound to another box when those stupid “Impractical Jokers” promos come on.

As the summer approaches I have been looking at the price of beef and all I can say is this year we will be having a lot more bbq chicken and pork. ☹️

More and more true everyday.

I want to go back to 40+ years and get my history teacher to regrade a paper I wrote that theorized that the only country where another Hitler could rise and cause worldwide damage was the US. He gave me a C saying our system of checks and balances would prevent it.

This is the opposite of what is about as close as you get to an objective fact in economics.

“If this guy isn’t impeached and removed, what’s the point to the whole Constitution? You can’t have a fucking criminal running the government for his own benefit screwing the people. And that’s what we have.”

Ian Austin, an Army veteran, was arrested for protesting ICE in Minneapolis. But he’s continued protesting. Senior reporter @julialurie.bsky.social spoke to him. “When they say, ‘Why would you be out here?’ How the fuck could I not be out here?” he says. “My nation is under attack."

If I were a governor, I’d put the National Guard on the streets immediately to protect my constituents against these masked federal thugs. If I were back in Congress, I would vote to shut the government down until those masked federal thugs were off our streets.
