While Ed can’t make #Nido2026, the lab is well-represented by Max Erdmann, and @rebee.bsky.social ! They will be sharing some of the labs findings on coronavirus replication! Catch Max’s talk tomorrow (Wed) at 3:25, and Rebee’s poster C-0036

Funded PhD studentship on equine tendon homeostasis/ageing with single-cell proteomics for Oct 2026 start! Open to both vets, and non-vets, though the funder offers an enhanced stipend for vets.

We do not currently have a vaccine for Bundibugyo ebolavirus. BUT! There are vaccine candidates that have ben tested in animals and could go forward more quickly to human trials. Eg VesiculoVax doi.org/10.1093/infd... and another VSV-based vaccine journals.plos.org/plosntds/art...

Early bird registration still available! Come join for what is always an excellent and very friendly meeting.

We are delighted to inform you that BSPR 2026 will be held at the @ebi.embl.org campus in Cambridge from the 13th to the 15th of July. Make sure to save the data and join us for the a meeting full of great science focused on British & Irish Proteomics. #proteomics #BSPR2026 #massspectrometry

New preprint from the lab!

New preprint! Current T7-based MNV reverse genetics can be performed by co-transfecting plasmids encoding T7 RNA polymerase and vaccinia capping enzymes. We see a further 100-1000-fold boost in titres by incorporating CD300lf-expressing BSR-T7 cells into this system. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...

We have a PhD studentship available!
