I had the great pleasure to be interviewed by the two gentlemen from @effektpodcast.org and talk about Titan Effect Zero. The campaign is 65% funded and there are 5 days to go. Check it out! #rpg

And price is right his damage to Docity from attempting (or succeeding in) a coup de grace is Doubts, it does not change his Docity score. Oh and while Eli is waving dynamite around, she might want to read on the note on Dynamite and Trouble on page 83...

Just a couple of points, Sydney is right, Shakes can indeed be psychological. For example, just one point means the bullet just whizzed past your ear, or shot a hole in your hat or sleeve, and Hurts is generally just grazes and the like, the REAL damage only comes with a role on the critical table.

First five #TTRPGs* in the order I played them: 1: AD&D 2: Traveller 3: bloody hell! I can’t remember! It was almost 50 years ago, maybe Bunnies and Burrows? 4: Gamma World? (For a session?) 5: Runequest *They were just called RPGs back then

But Matthew’s boy was lime-jousting in the pages of Vice Magazine way back in May!

Huh, it’s good to see co-host Matthew’s son is a trend-setter. The Guardian is swooning over Lime Bike jousting at the Freize Art Fair, claiming “just one example of the spirit of the middle ages erupting into the zeitgeist” but that‘s already old news. www.theguardian.com/global/2026/...

Other than that, its a pretty good place to get on-board, as its the start of an adventure which will have a pretty big impact on the town of Jornada Springs, and indeed the life of one of our characters.

Editing it, its a great pleasure to hear the theme music once again: The brilliant "Old West Game" by Angry Folk Media Empire and Poxy Boggarts' Stu Veneble, erstwhile founder of @happyjacksrpg.bsky.social 🎶"Noooo you can't play a ninja. This is an Old West game, and they didn't have ninjas"🎶

In fact this episode is interesting because its obviously recorded after the Kickstarter, you will hear us discussing layout as at the point of recording, we were "about 150 pages" into that, and now using the finalised rules, illustrated maps that feature in the book, rather than hand-drawn ones.

Part three is up, and I love that even though we wrote this first adventure (it’s the one in the core book) we don’t know exactly what’s going to happen. Like the spontaneous nervous vomit last week, or the mad gunfight that happens this week. SPOILERS! There is a had gunfight this week.

We decided we had too much work to do on Gold Country to attend this year's Free League Publishing #spelkongress despite having a whale of a time and meeting loads of new friends when we were invited last year. So, sadly we are not there. But our spies are!

There are TWO new books coming for #CoriolisTheGreatDark Across the Abyss - an explorer themed campaign where they have drawn inspiration from The Terror, among other things, written by Gareth Hanrahan! Free Leauge are very pleased with his work. The Dying City is a source book about Ship City.

Overall these books seem to expand the limited "Delving" centred game - The Dying city is inspired by Blades in the Dark and written by Elinor Hingley. They hope they will be able to make an announcement about The Walking Dead for Spelkongress 2027. No immediate Tales from the Loop plans.

Then the long awaited Twilight 2000: Operation Reset. This been long delayed The aim is to release in Spring 2027. Free League worked with military consultants to get the minutia correct. They had to do a lot of research to get things right regarding how Warzaw and Stockholm looked in the 1990s.

Remember that campaign that was promised in Vaesen's Core Book? The one that "started" with the example adventure? Now, finally, it's on the way! Written more or less at the same time as the rulebook. It took so long to publish because of the slow but constantly growing audience - apparently

Back to our #FreeLeague #SpelKongress op-sec reports: Delegates (and our spies) also hears about the head about the revision and translation of one of the most famous #DoD campaign. Erik Granstrom's #Svavelvinter will known as #TheBrimstoneSleep in English. Here is the cover

And here is (I think) the map: This will be a standard Dragonbane book. Since it is its own world that is quite particular (influences from early Renaissance Italy and Ancient Sumer including the god Marduk) our spy thinks that it is a standalone. Though Erik says it can be connected with Ereb Altor

Last 12 hours for this crowdfund. And it’s had a surge of backers in the last 12. If you were on the fence about it, now is the time to act and get it over the line. Let’s expand the #YearZeroEngine library!

Closing in on 24 hours left to back my dream edition of my dream game, which I hoped to deliver with artwork by world-class cartoonists like @simonroy.bsky.social , @milonogiannis.com and Steven De Waele. I'll be direct with you: It hasn't funded yet. It won't, unless a lot more people back it.

In our latest episode, out today, we talk about playing poker in Alien. Plus we can sell #TalesoftheOldWest in the EU again, the Blood Red Gulch actual play has started, #TitanEffect is come to Year Zero, a WotC union, and the One Ring is Free League’s top crowdfunder share.transistor.fm/s/98d60318

I love that during the session zero, Sydney quotes our first lines: “Life is hard. Life is short. And life don’t owe you a goddamn thing. But you are extraordinary.” When Dave and I set out to design #TotOW this was the first design principle I wrote down. The only one to get written into the text.

EU! We are back! 🇪🇺 Not in the unions, but able to send parcels to there so, our webstore is coming (slowly) back online as I rebuild the shipping tables for each county . (If your country is not there yet, drop us a line and I will make it happen.)

Dammit can’t post or reply these last few days without some bot following me, with just one post on their account explaining they are bi and sub and, in all likelihood, an onlyfans in their profile.

Co-host Matthew first saw this game packed in a ziplock plastic bag at Esdevium games. He met Chris who was a new recruit at the company he was working for and was impressed that Chaosium had actually published a game by somebody it was possible to actually know! This version is improved and boxed

Anyhow, the upshot of all this is: back gamefound.com/en/projects/.... It's great! And if you are in the UK, don't worry about the VAT charge - think of it as a downpayment on shipping. Elsewhere in the EU? There may be adjustments for you too, based on your local VAT regulations.

... for eligible products before the campaign started. "but no worries - our Finance team can take care of this after the campaign ends. We’ll then refresh the affected orders and recalculate the VAT. ... where the VAT rate changes, backers will see the... overpayment as a balance in their carts."

Meaning backers will get a refund or "can use it toward additional costs, such as shipping." Good on @gamefound.bsky.social for this, BUT given that #RPGParty is a promotion design to attract more TTRPG publishers to the platform, it seems guidance was lacking in the early stages.

I pointed out that that books and (ebook)PDFs were Xero rated for VAT in the UK, not charged at 20%. To be honest I was expecting them to give me some guff about crowdfunding being a digital service and so charged at 20%, but to their credit they said that VAT rates should have been adjusted...

Woo hoo! Tales from the Loop makes the cut! And only ten more places … so I am pretty sure Tales from the Old West will be in the final ten … surely?? 😉

We're getting there. My favourite 101 TTRPGs reach 20-11. A bunch of epic games in here, and also some less so. My big teenage campaign. And more! #ttrpg

Our favourite? That’s like asking us to choose between our children! Oh… our children? That makes the answer a whole lot easier: #TalesoftheOldWest from, ummm, us!

Sitting down with our home group to play Solomon Kane, it’s been a long time since we played so Tony reads the GM’s notes on that session. Co-host Dave remarks “hold on, this sounds like something we did before?” Yes Dave, it’s a recap.
