Blizzard never explained what "The Next Chapter" meant at BlizzCon 2026. They didn't have to... almost every announcement came with a date stapled to it, including two games with no demo. My recap on what that shift actually means: blizzpro.com/2026/09/12/b...

blizzpro.comBlizzCon 2026: The End of "It's Ready When It's Ready" - BlizzProIt's been three years since we've had a BlizzCon. Last time out, the big announcement was three WoW expansions at once with the Worldsoul Saga — we're in the

I commented on a video saying that 20 years ago WoW invented the word “kek” with how that existed well before WoW and woke up to about 100 comments replying that I’m stupid. So that’s how today is going, the internet trying to gaslight me

Microsoft this week: We're laying off half the industry. Sony: We're ending physical games. Nintendo: have u seen this splatoon weapon we call it the bloblobber

I think the thing that annoys me the most about AI right now, especially like Microsoft copilot, is how it just tries to force itself into situations. It's becoming the new clippy.

I see your FCS championship game and raise you a 1999 Division 2 championship game. Less than 3 minutes to go, down by 15 - tie it up and then it takes 4 overtimes to find a winner

I know I seem like a broken record, and I apologize for it, but I don’t know what to do. We need to get some more money to our landlord today to stay on the payment plan he set for us, and we desperately need your help. Been to every BlizzCon since 2007, but 2023 was probably my last one. It's just not something for me anymore, especially after the whole portal pass thing that they never made up for. I do hope my friends who are still attending have fun though!

I remember in the 90s my science teacher believed so strongly about an upcoming rapture that he quit his job - I still wonder whatever happened to him after that never happened.

TMNT for the NES - I could get to Shredder but could never beat him Ninja Gaiden for NES - I could get to the end guy but could never beat him Feel very accomplished in both after learning people couldn't even get that far a lot of times.

Name a Videogame you couldn't beat.

TIL: When the Original Star Wars Trilogy finally aired on Chilean TV in 2003, the network spliced custom beer commercials into the films themselves to avoid cutting to commercial breaks. these additional scenes turn Obi-Wan & Luke into raging space alcoholics who are constantly shotgunning booze.

Sometimes estimating as a team can feel like the movie 12 Angry Men. Maybe someone should make a movie called 6 Angry Devs around the subject of coming up with a story point.

I’m happy to see a bunch of people are excited for Blizzcon. After the last one though, I won’t be attending another again. The fact they never did anything for the people who got screwed by the Portal Pass at the last one still really upsets me.

1/ We're experiencing a huge influx of users, and with that, a predictable uptick in harmful content posted to the network. As a result, for some very high-severity policy areas like child safety, we recently made some short-term moderation choices to prioritize recall over precision.

Chiefs fans are grumbling about barely beating the Panthers while I'm sitting over here like... a win is a win. Good teams find ways to win and this team is 10-1 folks. Panthers are starting to click, too. Came off a bye week after 2 wins - they had lots of time to prepare.

Hi all, I am still in my job search, if anyone has any leads on a Tier II/III helpdesk support role or Network Engineer role I’d love to hear about it! I have a few potentials in the pipeline but nothing concrete yet! I know many of us are in the same boat but we’re going to find a career for us!

I'm glad to start seeing a lot more familiar faces here now. I moved on from the shithole a long while back and while it sucked to miss some stuff, felt it was worth it.

Finished reading Play Nice: The Rise, Fall, and Future of Blizzard Entertainment by @jasonschreier.bsky.social - and as someone who has spent 20+ years writing about Blizzard and has been to countless events and got to know a lot of people - it was nice to see those stories I heard get published

There was a lot of stuff in there I knew about - and a lot I didn't know about. Some stuff I only heard rumblings on - and go to get the full picture. I pretty much agree with how he wrote it out in different Blizzard eras, too. Followed the same pattern I had written even.

So many feelings when watching Remarkable Life of Ibelin - it's still wild to me how many meaningful friendships and life changing things Blizzard created with their games that aren't actually the game play itself.

I was making a D&D character and trying to come up with a name and Back to the Future was on the TV. DeLorean - but swapped some letters around and spelled it wrong. At the time it wasn't a name used much so I was able to nab it in several places more often than my old name. Now not so much.

I'm pretty sure one of my coworkers called me sinclairinator once and I thought it was awesome, so it became one of names. I got bored and registered my domain like 14 years ago just to do something .NET related with it.

Since I no longer use whatever the heck that site is now that Elon Musk owns - I am going to start doing our Hearthstone giveaways over here moving forward.
