what it's like swiping through men on Hinge:

Trump: "You have a couple of guys who went short. Those poor bastards -- they're in big trouble. They're being wiped out. The short guys. I never liked short guys because they're betting against the country."

Fall 2020 (just moved to Philly): I suppose I should try to watch an Eagles game Fall 2025: I think each Eagles player deserves to spit on one member of the opposing team every game without consequences

This makes sense as Delaware is notoriously a state that doesn't have any practicing lawyers and doesn't ever have lawyers from other states file briefs in any of its courts

Senate Judiciary Democrats 🇺🇸@judiciarydems.senate.gov

Sen. COONS: Are you a member of the Delaware Bar? Trump nominee: Virginia and Maryland. Coons: Practiced law in Delaware? Nominee: I haven’t. Coons: Filed a brief in a Delaware court? Nominee: My practice has been as an academic and in Washington, DC.

One of Ohio's two great road trip landmarks (the other is the Hell is Real sign)

that's right folks, Ohio also has the former HQ of the Longaberger company. it's a seven story basket and it's empty because the company went bankrupt and nobody can figure out what to do with the building

Look I know from experience prisons will do anything to keep media out, but now that Jen Shah, Elizabeth Holmes and Ghislaine Maxwell are all in the same prison Bravo should have at least made some phone calls floating a new Housewives franchise

Sure the decline of SEPTA means every day it takes me longer to get to the office I have to go to for no discernible reason, but if it were fully functional or I worked from home I wouldn't have walked past the man who yelled angrily that he liked my dress this morning. Balance

VC Will said during yesterday's hearing that she has concerns about civility within the Chancery bar: "Some of the very sad public food fighting that we've recently seen on social media, even among senior members of our bar, is starting to bleed into court filings." www.law.com/delbizcourt/...

Perpetually unclear why TSA at PHL is designed to give every passenger the experience of Ralphie in A Christmas Story being told "Hey, kid! The line ENDS here. It BEGINS there" by someone gesturing to a 1/4 mile long single file line

There are two types of people in the world: people who consider the Trump/Elon feud to be today's biggest news on social media, and people who think it's Paige DeSorbo announcing she's leaving Summer House

I did reverse image searches on a few of the photos on the site, and they appear to all be stock images. On the FAQ page, there's a link to a website for Berbay Marketing & PR, which does appear to be an actual PR agency.

Time it takes to drive from Philly to Wilmington: 40 min Oct.-March, if skies are perfectly clear & all luck is on your side (yet somehow 60 min for me if I'm trying to get to court 20 min early) +20 min 7-10 a.m./3-6 p.m. +15 min April-Sept. (construction) +10 min if it's raining/snowing AT ALL

I trust this because nothing screams "I know about having friends" quite like quantifying the supply/demand of friendship as a commodity

Mark Zuckerberg says Meta's chatbots will supplement your real friends: "The average American has fewer than 3 friends ... but has demand for ... 15 friends" (h/t x.com/romanhelmetg...)

Every anecdote about the effects of DOGE cuts reminds me of that episode of 30 Rock where Matthew Broderick's character works in a government office that got boxes of pen caps but no pens
