Other things: they start with not 1 but TWO fridgings, probably why I bounced off it initially. It does better as it goes along. The car is in the very first scene! I hadn't picked up on that. They sit on it post 🔥
God, there were a lot of out-of-work BSG actors kicking around BC lol. #suprewatch

I once wrote "taking the piss" as part of an article and the American editor commented that 'piss is a liquid and therefore cannot be taken hold of' and I think I'll never receive a more perfect edit in my career
I, personally, would welcome the guy who plays River Cartwright trying to be all sexy, caddish, and smooth. It'd be a right giggle.

Turns out, *one volunteer* is mostly responsible for maintaining that code & helping push updates. Yesterday Ondřej Surý saved the internet. So I called him up www.theatlantic.com/technology/2...
Perhaps I could cheat and enter a wholly human written piece. These people clearly have no skill at understanding well-written work, though, so... Perhaps not.
It's Bristolcon this weekend, and this is where I'll be (as well as the bar).

Gotta say, I hate the promo grind. I don't like putting this stuff in front of my lovely followers who are mostly here for the shitposting, I imagine. Yet I have to do it at the mo because... *checks bank balance*... reasons.
Haha, what a world. Hahaha. 🫠

You might have seen a few posts about this but summarising: if you run a website that's built on PHP (yer WordPresses etc) and you've access to the version of PHP (backend) then you should probably update it to the latest version as soon as you can after 3pm today (UK timezone, 2pm UTC) or...
Get your hosting company to do it, ask them politely what they're doing re the issue. Make sure you run a backup and secure all you can. Basically, if you have any user data or banking details on there, you want to make sure to keep them safe. Smaller websites are likely safer, but do your best
It's probably not worth panicking for most of us, but essentially you don't want hackers being able to use these vulnerabilities against you. If you are worried, it might be worth taking your website offline entirely for a few hours versus the pain of leaked data and compromised websites.
