apparently *the* Jim Lee of DC not only knows about Umamusume but also cosplayed Roppei from Cinderella Gray at Cosplay Trackside crazy. Imagine a DC x Uma crossover. It's a possibility now.

I don't think you can exaggerate how good Ashita no Joe is. You've got one of manga's finest tales of a person getting better at their talents and overcoming the odds, but it's also about connecting with people and then losing them, and what you do when you feel pieces of yourself falling away.

Equal parts bemused and mildly annoyed that the only thing Umamusume fans seem fixated on is the question of reproduction.

this is, to me, the best page in joe. there's so much fucking incredible character work, so much dynamic action, so many viscerally lived-in pieces of background work. but my favorite page in joe is this little collection of people in celebration. there's so much life in here. so much joy.

The final cover has been revealed for the "Super Sentai wa Owaranai" (Super Sentai Never Ends) book written by Toei producer Shinichiro Shirakura, releasing November 18th. I expected more Rangers on the cover than just Tyrannoranger, I've gotta admit!

Update, we now have a full run-down of the lore, and it's somehow *even wilder*. TLDR; Umamusume are a demi-human race born from the reincarnated souls of dead racehorses in another world, who are powered and have their very existence sustained by the power of love. What the heck.

So in latest developments over in the Umamusume world, the new scenario has done a full lore-dump and creation myth that establishes Uma/Trainer bonds act as a quasi-mystical trait that brings out their latent power. Yes, Umamusume are literally supercharged with the power of love *in-universe.*

The more i see stuff like this from people heading projects the more i think that the ability to actually hit send on a work, warts and all, is a skill that is necessary lest the allure of "perfect" eat everything and everyone you love

Reading this Famitsu interview Uchikoshi did and it seems that the reason the Crash Keys game was canceled was because *Uchikoshi* wanted to use AI, not the publisher. This snippet is driving me nuts. Makes all the posturing with Hundred Line read extremely shallow.

So, Umamusume has confirmed that draft horses in the setting are jacked as shit. I await people to be very normal about this revelation.

people can't accept that in east asia jkr being what she isn't well known. And I hate to say it, 95% people I met in korea dont even know trans people let alone transition process other than SRS. the other 5% being people who are trans themselves or very in social activism. It is not surprising that

R.I.P. to Eric Bauza Out of all the actors who voiced the rabbit, you were the one who came the closest to Mel's original voice. You should've been around for 40 more years to voice him.

So, remember what I said about Chainsaw Man fans having a compulsive need to frame the series as a "critique" of Shonen Jump? This is what I meant. For one thing, I have no idea what they're even talking about, when the "heroic pervert" trope is basically a non-entity in 2010s Jump manga.

Chainsaw Man, final analysis: Part 0: Shonen Jump Aesthetic opinions aside, Chainsaw Man remains a defining work of popular fiction in the 20’s. It’s publication was a drastic departure from Jump’s editorial mainstream of the 00’s and 10’s. First, we examine the nature of this divergence.

People really seem to think Mineta from HeroAca is some kind of demonstrative of larger morality, when the entire joke of the character is that he's a perverted shithead who is routinely humiliated and made to be as uncool as humanly possible.

This thread also calls the culture of company drinking parties "corporately-mandated alcohol abuse", which is...well, it's a lot to take in right off from the start.

Occasional reminder that if you believe anything coming out of Kiwifarms, especially about a trans person, you are being a useful idiot for a bunch of vile hateful stalkers who have zero qualms about lying when it comes to those they perceive as enemies, and they consider all trans people enemies

Okay I am watching Silver Mask instead of Spectreman but that first screenshot is totally trying to be Zeiram, the second screenshot is horrifying, and the third is they literally set the suit on fire with the actor in it wtf.

Dunno what it says about the current state of anime subs that something this piss-poor can just pass through with no one noticing. Even just a basic glance should be able to communicate that Kurea's comment makes no sense, least of all because jiangshi are corpses and not ghosts.
