In one day, two politicians - Bolsonaro in Brazil and Vucic in Serbia - with ties to Trump have lost surprise elections thanks to high turnout. The rise of the international far-right is not inevitable.

As Barney Frank used to say, voting is not dating. It is a strategic choice as to which of two options will help move things toward where you want them to be for you and your loved ones, your community, your cause, and your country. This election, the choice is clear and urgent: Vote Democratic. 🇺🇲

Not for free right? So, let's do the math. 500,000 metric tons of diesel is about $500 million. A million worth $1 billion dollars. This looks an aid program for Russia and an effective disabling of US sanctions. This strengthens the Kremlin and is a threat to US, allied interests.

If you are as ready as I am for a government that works for the America people instead of relentlessly dividing and warring on us, vote Democratic at every level in every state. Let’s make Nov. 3 a turning point away from Trump and his Republican enablers. 🇺🇸

$400 million. That’s how much corporate & billionaire cash Trump’s Super PAC has ready to pour into the midterms over the next six weeks. End Citizens United.

1. Vote out Trump’s Republican enablers in Congress this November. 2. Enact major structural reforms (SCOTUS expansion, campaign finance, anti-gerrymandering, voting rights, electoral college work-around, etc.) to reinvigorate our democracy. 3. Take back the White House and keep going. 🇺🇸

Every Republican in Congress owns what Trump has done, is doing and is going to do. The vast majority of it would not have been possible without their collective acquiescence and enabling. He’s emboldened by the fact that Congress refuses to function as a separate branch of govt.

I, too, believe we must be "committed to confronting a corrupt, partisan court that got the way it did through a combination of hundreds of millions of dollars in corporate money and underhanded GOP tactics." Step 1 is to win big in the midterm elections. 🇺🇲 paulwaldman.substack.com/p/supreme-co...

It’s not “an oil deal with Venezuela.” It’s Trump kidnapping an autocrat, refusing to hold elections, then leaving the remainder of the regime in place but only if they allow him to pillage their natural resources, which they are doing to remain in power oppressing the people.
